Yay, up and running!

So glad that I’ve moved my site hosting to WordPress instead of HostGator, ‘cos the charges in WordPress is much more affordable.. plus it is hazzle free for keeping my WordPress site all in one place.

For now the site is not so pleasing to the eye yet.. am going to do some more changes on the design and display, hopefully everything will turns out great and hoping to keep this site forever.

Oh ya.. today is Chap Goh Mei (元宵节), the last day of the Lunar New Year celebration. It is also the valentine’s day for us. So, another special day to have a good reason to go home and have a feast with your family member.

May you be happy always!

Change – the only constant thing

Yes, Change – the inevitable thing which is certain to happen and unavoidable.

Yes, Change is one thing which is constant. Nothing in this world that doesn’t change.

Growth, moving forward or the other way round, both are changes.

One shouldn’t be afraid to change but do be very careful if you stay constant without growth without moving forward, without improvement. That would be very sad.

However we all are afraid of changes, afraid of new things, things that we are not familiar with, things that are uncertain. We just worry too much, ‘cos no matter what change does happen, be it we worry or not.

Why not we visualize change in a good way, change for the better. Change for improvement, change for growth, to be in a higher level.

Whatever it is, take it without judging, without assuming everything is going to be bad or good, it is just unavoidable. Why  not make the most of the situation, learn, improve and make it better. Stop dwelling in the past. Live. Now. This moment.

Have a great week!

2015 – what I believe and what I want to be

latte

  • I believe for a better year.
  • I believe things happen for a reason, be it good or bad in my perception.
  • I believe after life and those before this.
  • I believe Karma. (So, be good, girl.)
  • I believe there is a much greater force than anyone of us, that it works in ways that we can’t possibly understand or comprehen.
  • I believe we are all inter-related one way or another.
  • I believe I could do better.
  • I believe love is needed everyday,

I wanted to:

  • Be more creative
  • Be more attentive.
  • Live in the moment.
  • Absorb in whatever that is in front of me.
  • Open up for opportunities.
  • Be understanding on others.
  • Have passion on what I do.

Favorite photos / blog posts in 2014

Merry Christmas!

It has been a great year. One that I went for 6 months unpaid leave. One that I found out I love sewing up clutches and bags. One that I’ve enjoyed.

Here are my favorite photos in 2014 which some are simply I love to see and remember..

1. This orchid is special to me, ‘cos it was bought in remembering a dear colleague with a happy smile and who always said that he wanted to come for coffee.

you2. My favorite layout this year = “You” layout of my kiddos happy faces. I love working with Ali Edwards’ word stamps which is so versatile and a good reminder on life, on just be, on instilling positive thoughts and showing my love to my kiddos.

card pouch2

4. This year has been a productive year for me in terms of sewing. Almost all learned through online tutorial. Including this cards’ holder and I am still loving and using it.

5. School holidays has been something that got my stressed out for arranging where my kiddos would go, but this time I managed to get them to join in the fun in Petrosains exhibition. So we went for a handicraft exhibition host by Petrosains, which we had a great time weaving up baskets and drawing batikand. love the work that was done by my kiddos.

tree clutch

6. In terms of sewing, I especially love this clutch pattern through an online tutorial. So I’ve been sewing the similar pattern and this clutch was bought by my colleague.

7. I’ve been telling myself to get back on my scrapbook pages and started creating again. So I’ve started doing “Project Life” layout. Having bought an Instax Share printer make life easier too.

Light lunch scrapbook page8. Being back to work in July means I’ll need to be in between work and being a chauffeur for my kiddos. Here we managed to “escape” for a while and have our light lunch in Breadboss, Damai. Did this layout and love how it turned out.

Well, it is almost the end of 2014. I’m glad that I’ve enjoyed my year and I hope you do too.

Around here

Have been following Ali Edwards and have been in love on the way she’s telling her story and setting conscious reminder of life, being positive and being awesome. Today I wanted to record things that is happening now.

This week is school holidays for the boys. It has been learning, fun, movie, video, games and outing around here.

I didn’t manage to enroll them into any class or camp for the holiday. So I did the most that I can do, bringing them for events and activities that are available at hand, such as the Petrosains playsmart centre which offer basket weaving and batik painting over the weekend.

We had fun!

Around here, I let them have their share on the Notebook and TV. I let them watch their own favorite shows, play their own favorite games which is most probably – Minecraft and Lego.

Around here we argue over time-out. I stop them just in time for meals and I off the lights and demanded them to be in bed for the next day.

Around here, I wanted them to learn how to share, compromise, be patient and simply be a kid.

As for me, I’ve been searching and surfing, plus trying out new patterns and better sewing methods for my bag, pouches, or simply open to anything.

Found some great websites on sewing and stumble upon website on jewelry too, ha!

As for scrapbook, I’m anticipating the arrival of my first stamp sets from Ali… wu hooo!!! :))

Happy Birthday my boy

birthday cake

Yes, today you turn 11. We have celebrated your birthday earlier on Sunday with cake and candles, and of course with a birthday song. Your birthday celebration started on Friday when we went to watch The guardians of the galaxy and getting your toy from Toys”R”us with a birthday voucher. Yes, indeed you have turned 11 today.

May there be many many wonderful years ahead and may you be happy always.

Getting famous in road accident

This is about two different road accidents that happened yesterday and this morning.

There were two videos getting viral over the FB. One got everyone shock in knowing how fierce a woman can be after a car accident. Another was also a car accident and got everyone assuming that the driver must be driving under the influence of alcohol.

The first video gone viral and got the attention of FB users. Got me thinking of all the possibilities that could happened. I mean what if another road bullied or someone that felt really sorry for the old man and wanted to do something back on her?! Another thing is how would all her friends thought of her? How would that affect her career?

What is fortunately is that at least the old man was calm or just traumatized that at least he didn’t repay her with another fierce reaction. Thank God for that.

As for the second video, seeing that some girls were being rescued out from a huge drain near to RTM. First impression was “what happened? were they drunk?” Then the next thing came up my mind was “fortunately they were not stuck in the car”

Just so what if they got stuck in the car which swirl into the drain? Can’t think of the consequences if so.

Their reason was the driver were sleepy..  Just thank God that nobody got hurt.

Both video got attention from FB users. Bot get famous a bit.. the most was the first video.

Wouldn’t want that to happen to me and and of the people that I know.

So, people, do calm down, stay alert and remember there are people who love you. Don’t get yourself into a road accident. Stay safe.

Drive safe!

Now what?

Now that it is over, we’ll need to wait for another 4 years for this game, next will be the biggest country hosting the game. A game that everyone in the world is watching.

What do I think?

Well.. I’m not a fan of football but this year seems a bit different though I still didn’t watch a single game of it. But this year I’ve been influenced by my son who don’t know since when and from where that started to know about football and pay attention on the game.

I remember we were over in Hong Kong when the first game was on. He was excitedly telling us that he wanted to watch the game and wanted to get up at 3am in the morning with his alarm clocked set.

Unfortunately he forgot to put the alarm on and he has missed the game. Anyhow, hePlus, we have a FIFAbulous Sunday at church where everyone is encouraged to wear football jersey on that Sunday. And I’m not sure if that is coincident or what, my son got a German jersey, the exact look that they were wearing in their final game. So yah.. he is pretty much excited about his team winning the world cup.

He was even commenting on the players whom I’ve no clue about.

Anyway, now that it is over, I’m not sure if he’ll still ask to be trained in football.

So now what?  Just wait and see. .

Don’t be stupid

Some people just don’t get it.

He did it again for being in the headlines.. but in a bad way. All news available here.

And yet this person is one of our Minister in our Malaysian Parliament for the constituency of Kinabatangan, Sabah. So ridiculous.

I mean being a public figure, you should watch what you are saying and you should know that you are representing the people, or at least you are representing your organization. Watch what you are saying and think before you utter anything. Even when he has apologize, I doubt that he is being sincere.

As the saying go “mean what you say and say what you mean”
