Yes, we have our own Malaysia ScrapScene!
I first discover ScrapScene ages ago.. well.. I mean almost from the beginning when I started scrapbooking in 2007. It has been providing updates and pointers to other great sites of scrapbook and crafts.
Now, the Malaysia ScrapScene basically doing the same thing like ScrapScene. It is actually being called Scrapping Inspiration. Go check it out and start following! *wink*
I would probably won’t be able to give out this card by the end of this week. The card is meant for a colleague cum friend who has just given birth to a baby girl. I haven’t met the cutie pie yet. At the same time that I’m hoping she is reading my post, I’m also hoping that she’ll read this after I’ve given her the card 😀

Ops, I forgot to take down what product I’ve used here. All I can remember is the pearl is from Kaiser Craft, the green PP is from American Craft, cardstock is from Bazzill Basic. Well have to update the list later.
At first I wanted the title to be “On being your mom”, but find that my journal is more about Calvin and it is easier for me to find those letter stickers *wink*.
Journal: Started when you were one plus, I seldom carry you ‘cos I was having your little brother. I would only carry you when I needed to. Now come to think of it, I haven’t been hugging you more enough, haven’t been carrying you more enough. And yet you grow so fast that you are getting heavier to carry. You are actually a kid that need my hugs more than anyone else. You seems to have forgotten how to “manja” with me. And often time I haven’t been paying enough time to know what you really want. You need more attention and affection. I hope I have shown you enough of that and you really feel that you are love.
Am using the sketch from Pamela World of Scrap for the page and have been inspired by Scrap-inspire-create to create this layout filled with “heartfelt journaling” for their June Challenge.
Product used: Lily Bee french couture PP, Prima build-a-swirl stamp, Basic Grey bitsy stamps butterfly/b2, My Mind’s eye lil girl stamp, American Craft letter sticker, Rosa Moka appel de la nature letter stickers, Prima flowers, some Rhinestones and ric-rac.

6th Jun (Saturday): Went to Victor’s birthday party invited by Juliet. Meeting up with Lucy and Juliet is a fun time to have. Feeling like one of their family member. Even fun for the boys to have great time with their new friends! This morning was also the day that Mervin how to use the hose to water mom’s plants.
1st – 5th Jun (Monday – Friday): Send hubby to the air-port on Monday (harvest holiday). The follow by more updates about the house to hubby over the phone. Not really an enjoyable time of the time. However we finally decided to let BIL to do the site-supervision.
31st May (Sunday): Brother John and dad was cutting up some beam that got from the river for their dragon fruit planting, a blessing from God I said as the beams just float in from the river! These four were having a good look on work in progress LOL.
30th May (Saturday): More about the house again.
29th May (Friday): The boys loves it especially when they can play with daddy’s gadget – handphone. They would giggle on the video and even took their own video!
26th – 28th May (Tuesday – Thursday): Hate to get back to work while hubby is around, I wish I can spend more time with him and the boys, I wish we can have some picture or such.
25th May (Monday): Took a day off from work and went around the house with hubby to discuss over the layout and how we wanted it to be. I hope I can understand what hubby was talking about the hose and I hope he would trust the contractor to do his part, I wish he can concentrate more on the interior feel of the house.
24th May (Sunday): Mervin’s school family day and we all had a chance to attend this year as a family. We have missed this last year as we all went over to China to visit hubby. The boys prefer to play on the sand instead of the competition and later on the playground. Would love to have more time like this as a whole family, a time for picnic.
23rd May (Saturday): Hubby came back today at the afternoon flight using Air Asia. We straight went to Sutera Harbor for our dinner together with FIL. But Mervin didn’t wear his sandal on to the car, so he has to sit still (almost) the whole night.
22nd May (Friday): Went over to Kitchen and Bathroom to check out some more house accessories and found this sink with the price tag RM1300+. Went up to Delight Design after that. Have learn a lot of stuff by just talking to the shop owner and the designer. Am telling myself I would really love to have my kitchen properly made with built-in and cabinet.
21st May (Thursday): Went to check out Jang Lung house accessories shop over in Penampang. Still unsure of what I want, but saw this beautifully layout tiles on one of the bathroom showcase. Love the mosaic tiles…
20th May (Wednesday): The boys can have fun on anything at all, even drinks cans! They managed to filled some of the morning rush hours by stacking up the cans.
19th May (Tuesday): A day filled with lots of updates for hubby about the house renovation progress. I wish we can talk face-to-face. I wish we don’t need to go through all these about renovation and the difficulty in explaining exactly what I saw and what we want.
18th May (Monday): The wall of the stairs has been taken down partly and I definitely like the new look of open staircase, I love to see the rail and love to know that I’ve a bright staircase.
17th May (Sunday): As usual..
Did a page using sketch from Scrap-it-lah site, plus the receipe that was mentioned in ColorMeDaisy and yet I forgot one thing from the recipe, the circle! *LOL*.

May 12th (Tuesday): Went to check on the house again and got some photos for hubby to decide on certain things. Our concern and opinion are so diverse that we had some argument concerning the renovation. I wish he is around to settle things rather than me myself only.
May 10th (Sunday): The first time stepping into my house with renovation going on. Feeling a bit confuse on the things that I need to notice and started worried about the things that I need to prepare.Yes, I’ve been way behind of the things that I’ve promised myself to do everyday or at least once a week, in recording down the day-to-day life with one picture, the Project 365. So, here I’m trying to figure it out what had happened over the last month in May.
May 9th (Saturday): Have a good walk in the park and of course to the nearest WalMart for lunch and a bit of shopping. The boys absolutely love it.

May 8th (Friday)
May 7th (Thursday): Went to Hong Kong as hubby has a conference or forum over there, thus we can all go together. The boys were looking forward to aunt’s place, they especially love it to have a get away from Shenzhen. They have specifically requested to play on the playground near to the subway, which of course their wishes have been granted. Look how happy they are.
May 6th (Wednesday): Another normal boring day at home in Shenzhen.
May 5th (Tuesday): Here, the boys sharing with each other on how to draw things that they love. I’m happy to see that they are able to be so nice with one another.
May 4th (Monday): TV time as usual during the late evening. Sesame Street and Baby First are their favourite, but they still keep on waiting for Transformers.
May 3th (Sunday): We stop by a playground after having our breakfast. Don’t think hubby and I will get a peaceful day if we don’t let them at least climb a bit in the play ground.

These two layouts are basically fast in putting up since the kit basically coordinate everything.
I’ve been very behind with my scrapbook ‘cos I haven’t been able to touch them over the past weeks busy on my house renovation. Now that I’ve got that settle on the shoulder of someone else, I think I’m more in tune with myself. Will surely do more and to record my memory.
I stumble upon this site Caardvarks from another blogger, it has so many beautiful cards there and now they are doing a challenge with adorable prize. I’ve straight subscribed to it using my Google reader. It has 364 followers now!
Sometimes I wonder how great this blogsphere is in connecting people all around the world. I’ve been subscribing to Elizabeth Kartchner’s blog and her site can come up with more than 300 comments! Liz’s site is one that if filled with fun colors and ideas, plus beautiful photos. I just love to read her post. Her layouts are all so fun to look at.
Another site that is always filled with readers is Ali Edward’s blog. Ali’s site is more of an organized person, it is neat and focus more on journal for her layout. It just remind me that layout can be real simple and yet full with meaning.
Another site that I follow is Pamela world of scrap where she shares her layout and her sketches. Even though that she needs to take care of a little baby now, she still finds time to do scrapbook. I suppose it is the same to all scrappers as we will definitely find time for what we love to do.
To me, scrapbook brings me back to sanity after a day filled with challenges with my boys. It is where I can assured them that mommy still loves them no matter what, and I wanted to keep all those sweet memories for them to read and fill in later days. I wanted also to scrap about those hard time that I’ve been having with them. They are my happiness and my frustration *LOL*.
If you are looking for color challenges or inspiration, head over to Kristina’s blog, she host a color challenge every week and you’ll be surprise that you can actually built beautiful cards with those colors. It is a matter of deciding which color is primary or more than others. She made nice bow too.
Of course there are still many great sites around, I’ve yet to discover them. 😉
