As promised

These are the two cards that Calvin made for Jesus and daddy as mentioned in my previous post. He likes to incorporate some drawing, cutting and stamping into his card. Aren’t they adorable? Some words are written with me holding his hand, some he copy from me. But all his idea with a bit of guidance from mommy. I think he is as creative as mommy or even better.

Today he said he wanted to make a mini album with his own photos. Going to process some photos for him later.

What kids love?

STAMPING!!

Yes, watch this video and you’ll know what I mean. It happened to Calvin too. He loves that, he doesn’t mind getting messy over those ink pad. He loves to try out different stamps by using different color ink. This mommy who is the one who is afraid that he’ll dried up all those ink pad.
He has made two cards using my stamps, one for Jesus and one for daddy. Why for Jesus and how to send over to him I asked. It is easy, just leave it near to the cross and He will be able to see it, and why, ‘cos he wanted to ask for a clear day when we all go to Klias for fireflies and monkey watching. Brilliant huh!?
As for daddy, ‘cos daddy just came back last week. I’ll try if I can still find those cards and post them up here.

BFF

For this layout I’m using Sketch #64 from Creative Scrappers. I’ve actually spent a lot of time thinking on what to use for the page, which pattern paper to use, which embellishment to use.. goodness, it has taken me more than 3 days to just think about that. How I wish I can just walk in a scrapbook store and get whatever that I think is needed for this page. However I managed to work with supply limitation and came out with this page.

Product used: Prima say it in crystals and Omements floraux; American Craft letter stickers; Scenic Route sumner die-cut; Lily Bee French couture; some ribbon.

Pox attack

Started in doing this layout days ago and only managed to get it done yesterday. To me the hardest part is to fill the empty space which I did with swirl stamps.

Another thing is to include 3 photos in this layout and I’ve hide away one photo behind the right photo. Now, there were all 3 of them who got the Chicken pox, both my boys and my hubby. The worst one is my hubby whose face is still filled with spots. These happened in June and July.

“First, it was Calvin who got the bugs, then Mervin, then KF, who got it real bad. The boys just had slight fever but not KF. there were spots on their faces and bodies but not as bad as DF’s. they were happy to stay home and put on Calamine lotion, but not KF. Thanks God that it wasn’t H1N1 and that KF was home when it started to get bad. – 2009”
Products used: Prima Moda Collection PP and Build-A-Swirl stamp, American Craft Fashion Accent and felt letter stickers, Making Memories Paparie journal pad, My Little Shoe Box letter stickers. All these from Scrapbook Deals 4U kit.

Celebrating love

Yup, this is a reminder for myself for I’m having two growing up kids, a hubby who is not so near physically and yet mentally here. This layout is for the rememberance of that and I wanted to keep this sweet memory of them while at play on the beach.
Am entering this for the Celebrating Love challenge over at Color Me Daisy.

In this layout, I’ve stamped on a tranparency and color it at the back. I did this on the umbrella stamp. It is fun!

Product used: PP from Prima Moda Collection – Lulu, Fancy Pants rub-on – the daily grind, American craft thickers, and chipboard stickers, Jilibean-soip PP – minestone, Glitz sparrow PP, Making Memories journal pade.

Oh! so fun

Yes, did a layout following the sketch challenge over in Scrapbook Deals 4U. I’ve been wanting to scrap these two photos of my boys taken in Tg. Aru. It is fun to have pictures such as these too. Probably there are better ways and funnier ways in shooting those round tube in the play ground.
First time ever to use that may bling in my layout, all in all 5 rhinestones 😀
Journal of course the fastest way is by hand writing 😉
Journal: We don’t stay close to a play-ground, so you always look out for “play-ground fun”, as I always look out for “snap-shot fun”.
Product used: AC ribbon, letter thickers and PP. Moda rub-on. Jilibean-soup PP. My little shoebox sugar high chipboard alphabet. Fiskar border punch. Kaiser craft rhinestone. And ric-rac.

Our family LO

I think my creative mode is back working again but not in full swing. Still have so many things to worry and think about in my mind. Here is one that being done yesterday afternoon before heading off with the boys for a walk around the neighborhood, which later Mervin deleted all those photos I’ve taken of them. Real bummer huh!?

These photos were taken in Shenzhen, China. It has a really nice park there that is full of Lychee trees. The boys love to go there especially on a cool day. Wish I can do that more with them – walking in the park.

Will put in the product list tomorrow. Haven’t been using a lot of stuff here though. TFL.

Project 365

Day 166

15 Jun (Monday): The boys had an early day, woke up early, had their unusual gear on and started fooling around before getting on the car and get to school. While Mervin was playing around with the straw hat and bike gear, Calvin was doing some serious drawing on the floor!

Day 165
[no photo]

14 Jun (Sunday): Like usual, those cousins had lots of serious fun. of course that also involved some fighting, chasing and screaming!

Day 164

13 Jun (Saturday): Managed to bring the boys for a walk in City Mall and in to the Big Apple for some donuts as requested by Mervin who look for the “round thing”.

Day 163

12 Jun (Friday): Went over to Rimaju Woodfloor to check out their laminating floor wood for the house and did some serious thoughts on the price. Was happy to see that they do have some on offer, but I have doubt on their quality.

Day 159 – Day 162
[No photo]

8th Jun (Monday) – 11 Jun (Thursday): I must have some serious things at work and had been busy.

Day 158

7th Jun (Sunday): The boys loves to explore and today they went up the hill where John had planted the dragon fruits. They basically had a hike up there and shouted to grandma down on the hill.

Little flyers LO

Did this layout awhile back for Label Tuip girl lift challenge and haven’t got time to load it, so here it goes, my little flyers. Hmm.. am I using the wrong spelling here? Anyway, what I mean is they are frequent flier. Oh.. now I see.. I’ve got the wrong spelling. :p

This layout is inspired by Label Tulip girl: Kimberly Garofolo Neddo’ Garden girls, I’ve flip the original layout

I wanted to actually make a layout that have clouds there and I wanted to play with my acrylic paint. But after using it, I regretted and thus I use embossing technique to further enhance the texture on the paint. The next thing I wanted to do was actually to have a bird or air-plain in the layout, but I ended up using the butterflies instead.

Material used: Core-dination cardstock, American Craft chipboard letter stickers, Maya Road chipboard letter, Kaiser Craft pearls, some lace and pom-pom, butterflied die-cut from Suzanne 😉

This moment

I know.. these photos look more like for the title “BFF”. But I don’t really know if they are best friends, and I don’t even know how to spell his name! So, to me, this is more like what I love to see in Mervin. My journal is: This moment, I love you because… you are having fun with your classmate, you are easy to be with, and just because you are you.

I do love to see him play with his friends, I do enjoy his laughter and silliness while he play, just as long as he doesn’t get too rough.

Material used: Fancy pants rub-on, Jenni Bowlin Rhinestone button, Lily Bean French couture, Fiskar border punch, Making Memories journal piece.

Another thing, about my Project 365. I’m way behind and loosing the zest maybe ‘cos I don’t have the kit on hand, maybe ‘cos I’m not sure how to start to put them into 12×12″ layout, maybe I’m just too tight up with other things, maybe I am just not patient enough. Is it bad to just drop the project? hmm..
