Color Challenge

I’ve made this card and was hoping to get it loaded for Kwerner’s color challenge, but I was too late for it as I forgot to bring my USB cable back home. She has very good color challenge every week, going to try for it again this week.

Anyway, just wanted to share it here. I have probably didn’t use the right color combination, but it was fun.
This has become my photo for Project 365 as well, this is for Day 9.

I was featured

I don’t really understand my title. All I want to say is that Aunty J has written about me and showing what I’ve done for her as a birthday present to her hubby.

It is a layout that I’ve scraplifted from a layout in Scrapbook Trends last year issue.

I’m glad that she appreciate what I did and even shown those cards that I’ve made for her.

Thanks Aunty J.

Day 8

This is what happened after the boys has slept, empty bottles. The boys still have their milk before bedtime, even Cal. I’ll need to stop him from using the bottle soon, he is turning 6 this year.

Surprises and a card

Got a surprise came in yesterday that I’ve forgotten that I’m suppose to be expecting it in my mail box! Well, actually two surprises. One is the card above made by a little boy Ethan who were inspired by me in making the card. Way to go Ethan! They even sent over stickers for the two boys, thank you Chin Yee!
The 2nd surprise was that I received my prize yesterday from Pamela, the prize for winning the November sketch in Coconut ScrapShop. Yay! It contains lots of overlay and some pattern paper and brads, and stickers! All for Christmas, thanks Pamela!

Oh, and here is a card I’ve made yesterday with the sketch provided in SoCalScrap forum. I’m using all things purchase from Scrap-n-Crop with a mixture of products.

Product used: Chattebox Gallery Collection – Chocolate Open Dot, 3/8″ Two Toned Stitched Satin – Fire Red, Pink Paislee Clear Stamps – Spring Fling, Gold Grosgrain – 5/8″ Golden Girls.

Oh, by the way, SoCalScrap is having the Happy Hours and Workshop right now, go check it out here.

Day 7

Vitagen, their favorite drink. This was when we were on our way home and Mer requested to have Vitagen and promised that he’ll only have that instead of anything else like sweets.

Table calender

This is the first time I altered a small table calender that I got from Zen Kung Fu in Shenzen while having a set lunch there.

Have given one to a friend and I just wanted one for myself, so I did that last night. Nothing behind the pages. Probably will add that up later.

This is how it looks like:

When the pages are taken off, this is how they look like. I just put the month design alternately and used my border punch on every alternate month.

Project 365

Creating Keepsakes has been featuring their Project 365 since December 2008 and it has drawn a lot of attention and anticipated buyers into their website waiting for the kit to come out on January this year. It turns out that there were so many buyers that they have run out of the kit and their site was even facing loading problem!

I am one of the viewer and also anticipated buyer who didn’t manage to get the monthly kit but I still wanted to give this project a try. I know I don’t have a habit of taking photo everyday and I don’t bring my camera every where I go, let alone taking photos in some unexpected timing.

I love their kit, it is super beautiful and it looks super easy to put them up in the album. I just wish that I can get the kit soon and started to slotting in photos and journaling card.

I’ve another plan is to copy their style in making the project, so even if I really can’t get the kit, I can still get on with the project. I’ve already got photos from day 1 except day 4 which we were traveling back from China. Going to think of away to fill that one in.

Here are for day 5 and 6 for 2009:

Jornal: Cal has been so happy to have his activity book which require him to cut and paste things cut from it to make some paper toys. He absolutely love that book.

Journal: As for Mer, he is glad to be home with Grandma and he has learn how to eat fruits that have small nuts that require him to spit them out.

Jornal: This morning Mer was sleeping on the way to school in the car. They have been having some late night and he was singing 10 little Indian-boy last night before bedtime.

I wanted also to try on Simple Scrapbook’s way of doing an album within 4 hours by having 40 photos in a 6″x6″ album completed with pattern paper and embellishments. I’ve already got my photos ready, now I just need a 6″x6″ album. Finger crossed that I can get it down in two nights.

Last minutes

I took my last chance to do two more layouts before heading off to China yesterday. This I hope can be consider for Christmas week scrapping in what Sunday Scrappin’ mentioned.

I’ve used my mind’s eyes die-cut paper and Be Merry patterned paper, Autumn Leaves Rhonna Farrer Christmas Collection – The Wishing Tree and some gold pigment ink for the star on the tree. I’ve also used Fancy Pants Happy Holidays Collection – Cards for the jornalling spot and my corner rounder, plus American Craft letter stickers.

Fun!

Got my gold pigment ink, some PP, Christmas die-cut and scallop punch from Fiskar yesterday, all from Scrap-n-Crop!!! So I’ve been down to work last night using the punch and created two cards.

Initially I bought this pink cardstock for making valentine’s card, but can’t wait for that, so I’ve used it for Christmas cards instead. I know I’ve more than enough Christmas cards and I’ve basically given to everyone in my list. Still, another two won’t kill myself. And with that punch, I just love it.

Here, I’ve ink the star with my gold pigment ink and use the swirl flowery stamp to stamp on the tag on the 2nd card.

Product used: My mind’s eyes die-cut paper, brads from Making memories, Inkadinkado Wood-Mounted Rubber Stamps – Flourish.

As for this layout, it is about my boys being so addicted to the computer sort of game that they can get from the mobile DVD player. Now it is under maintenance as told by me, just so that they’ll forget about it, else they’ll be sitting in front of it the whole night!

Have used Scenic Route pattern paper and die-cut, Maya Road chipboard letter, Sassafras Lass Clear Stamps – Olivia & Pals, owl rub-on, circle punch.
