Loving the quote

“Be you. Find you. Be happy with that.” Got it from Elizabeth Kartchner’s blog.

I was going through my photos recently and found this photo that I’ve which I’ve scrapped a similar photo before, and I wanted so much to play with the piece of paper that I got from Old Town Cafe (not sure what to call it), so I came out with this layout (sorry for the blur photo):
That butterfly has been in my stash for a long time which I don’t dare to use it as it is just so bulky which I’m worried that it will dent my other pages. Anyhow I just used for this layout and have used foam adhesive behind it in order to protect my paper from the wire used in the butterfly.
Yup, a good reminder for myself on being me 😉
Product used: BoBunny Flutter Butter PP, Prima flowers, Urban Lily journal paper, Queen & Co. felt, Fiskar border punches and some old trim.

Truly madly deeply!

Not on me, but on game! Ha! That’s my son. He is really into playing computer games especially PBS kids. Seeing here, he is playing some solitair on my notebook. If he is able, he would spend the whole day in front of that notebook.
I did this layout by using the sketch #50 of Scrapbook Deals 4U, which I’ve flipped.

I run out of the letter “e” but I still have some other letter than can combine together to make an “e”, so this is what I did, using a “c”:
Clever!?

Go over to Scrapbook Deals 4U now to try out the sketch, there is a prize to be won.
Happy scrapping!

February challenge

I know I have some birthday photos around somewhere in the scrap area, maybe still inside the box, maybe it is jumbled up with something else, I just couldn’t find them! So, I’ve missed submitting my DT layout for Helen from Scrap a little February’s challenge. Bummer..

Anyway, head on over to Helen’s site to get some inspiration on the February challenge – which is to create a birthday layout with a twist to have number in the title, and do join in the fun.

Have fun peeps!

My love

Did a layout using the twisted sketch : I didn’t submit my entry to be included in their sisterhood, this is just out of fun after seeing the sketch and those inspiring layouts from the DT girls. Here is what I came up with:

I’m using those left over from my previous kits of Scrapbook Deals 4U since I still haven’t got my January kit *bu hoo…*
Seeing here is my cutie family taken on the last day of 2009.
I’ve used crackle paint on the trimmed flower. Initially I actually wanted to used the thick gel, but I love the mistake *LOL*.
Journal: Yes, my love, I learn new things each & everyday from you, about you and made me know more about myself too. Thanks for being you. I’m grateful that I have you. – mom & wife. Jan 2010.

Read about this while we had our vegetarian lunch yesterday: “Be grateful of everyone, everything and at every moment.” (Hope I’ve quoted it correctly). It makes me think, yes, really, we should be grateful of the things that we have and even those that we don’t have.

Happy scrapping!
Product used: Fancy Pants Delight PP, Webster pages – little storyteller letter stickers, BoBunny flowers and button, Tim Holtz crackle paint.

On being you

I love the look of Calvin over here, just love that sweet genuine smile when I asked for photo session. Journaling is something that I’ve copied from Elizabeth Karthner’s blog, where she was quoting from someone: Calvin, you are loved, you are joy and many more. I would love you to be creative, be you, find you and be happy with that. luv, mom – 26th Jan 2010.
I’m using the left over from my Scrapbook Deal 4U Delight kit and those felt flowers from some other kit’s left over. I’ve used Prima packaging too, what a fun way to use up those stash.
Happy Scrapping!

Where is my kit?

I’m really really sad now.. I’m still waiting for my January kit from Scrapbook Deals 4U. All those in the forum had already been playing with it and having so much fun creating gorgeous pages, and I’m here.. still waiting.. check on the mail everyday without fail.. still no where to be seen. I hope it is not being hijacked, or lost.. I hope eventually it will be here.

I wanted to do some sketches, and kept on thinking maybe I should wait for my kit to arrive, maybe I should just save these photos later.. till I can’t get my pages properly done. Seeing that today is not possible for me to get my kit, I hope I’ll get it on Monday. Yes, first thing on Monday.

I’m a guest designer in …

Creative scrappers! Yes! I’m so honor and happy to see my own layout in others’ site. Kristine has been designing lots and lots of great sketches and I’ve been a stalker for her sketches ever since I discovered it months ago. Her designer team are fabulous, they can always come up with layouts that are so inspiring. Go on, head on over to Creative Scrappers and try out sketch #87 yourself. I would love to see your interpretation of the sketch.

Here is my take for sketch #87:

And a close up of those flowers, learnt to do this from Scrapbook Deals 4U‘s forum.

Me and hubby were just playing with our camera’s self-timer when I went over to visit him last year. It was totally funny, just look at his face *LOL*
Product used: My Mind’s Eye bloom and grow kit from Scrapbook Deals 4U.

As for now, I’ve done yet another sketch from her – sketch #85. I get to scrap my son’s overly exhausted photos after playing computer games. He just fall flat while the computer was still on with his game half-way done.
Love her sketches and yup, definitely going to keep on following her blog.
Happy scrapping!
Product used: Creative Imaginations PP, American Craft stickers, Stamps from Making Memories and Maya Road.

Pretty

Hmm.. I’m getting more productive with my new scrap space! *LOL* And I managed to use my stash of old stuff too. Some from Scrapbook Deals 4U kits, some Pattern Papers and supplies bought from Scrap-n-crop, using a sketch from Scrapbook Challenges. Yes, I’m drawing in ideas and inspiration from here and there.

This layout has completed with journal, but I took the photo before I wrote anything there. These are my cousins, pretty cousins *grin*. Even my sons sometimes mistaken them as their cousins *LOL*.

I did a butterfly using techniques thought in the Scrapbook Nook forum, which used mist, stamp and crackle paint. But my crackle paint is not here yet and I just can’t wait for it to finish this layout, so I’ve used glossy medium instead.

I thank you all for leaving comments on my site, really appreciate it. I hope I do give some, well, maybe a little inspiration here and there for you all.
Happy Scrapping! And Happy Weekend!
Product used: Scrapbook Walls Choc open dott PP, 7Gypies Kobe PP, Making Memories journal pad, American Craft chipboard stickers, KaiserCraft rhinestone, Scenic Route chipboard, Tattered Angels glimmer mist, My Little Shoebox in bloom overlay, BoBunny buttons and Gift of love PP, Prima Flowers and Fiskars border punches.

My little scrap corner

Yes, I finally had got my scrap corner ready with a banquet table, an album cabinet that can fit in my American Craft ring album, a magazine rack that I’ve filled up with stuff.

It still doesn’t look complete to me, there are still things missing. I would love to have those Making Memories jars and Desktop Carousel. I’m eying on things that look like Doodlebug Fashion Furnishing Line Collectable Cupboard and Paper Cube. Hoping to make my little corner with more colors.
I need more basket too, the type that I can put clothes on the inside and store my scrapbook stuff.
Oh, I definitely need a good chair, preferably with wheels.
Another thing is I hope to be able to display my works on the wall or maybe on some wall mounted shelves, even better with shadow box.
I think sooner or later this corner will be filled with storage cabinet and stuff. Let’s just say, this is a start. A good one I must say.
Hmm.. and now I’m still waiting for my kit from Scrapbook Deals 4U *sigh* Why do I stay so far away from the States.

First Layout!

Yes, this is my first LO of the year! *LOL* and I did it on the floor ‘cos at that time I don’t even have a table in my scrap room. Yes, I’m claiming that room to be my scrap room during when hubby haven’t decided what to do with it, he he…
Nothing much of a technique that I use in the layout, it is just to cure my thirst of creating, I’m using Creative Scrapper’s sketch #86.

Journal goes in later. Happy Scrapping!
