Been playing around

with my blog templates. So I’ve been changing my blog template all free from Simply Fabulous Blogger templates.
I’m not totally comfortable with the black background, but I love the header, so what do you think? Shall I stay with this one? Or if you have any suggestion, please let me know, but it has to be free or with less than US$5, really run out of fund at the moment.

Oh ya, weekend is just around the corner.. project project.. I’ve got myself some zips, foam/sponge and twine. Going to have some fun either sewing or scrapbook. At the same time, I’m hoping to catch some more sleep, to compensate whatever that I’ve lost during the week too.

Happy weekend!

My zipper bag

Yup, have done it and well.. it is not exactly like originally intended but at least this one is usable. The zip that I bought somehow is too thick to sew through and it is not exactly in the size that is intended for the zipper bag in Anna’s blog.

Have bought more fabric from the curtain shop and am intended to make apron for mom’s house as the one they are using is really … *sigh*… dirty! A good reason for me to sew anyway. And I’m also intended to make another kind of zipper bag that I read in a book. This will be my weekend craft *wink*.

Creative Scrappers reader reveals

This is the layout that has been revealed over in Creative Scrapper’s blog for their one month long celebration! I’m so glad that I get to do a layout base upon the sketch that Kristine gave me earlier. It seems to me that mine is so far the plain-ness one among all those gorgeous layouts that other readers revealed! Anyway, I had fun doing the layout with Scrapbook Deals 4U kit – Honey I’m home.
Here are some close-up of the embellishment:
The cut out flower from the PP with some blings in the center.
A cut out of the house in the PP with foam adhesive.
Those swirls that I’ve cut by using Slice.

Happy Wednesday!

Happy!

Oh gosh! I’ve just got my April kit from Scrapbook Deals 4U plus the Basic Grey page kit, plus (!!) a gift kit that I’ve won from the birthday party! Yippie!! There is so much to play with, now I felt overwhelm with all those kits! Gosh!
I still have a kit that sent by Helen from Scrap a little (which I’ve made 2 pages so far), the Basic Grey Origins page kit (un-touch!), Studio Calico kit and so much left over from the previous kit, plus (yes!!) those Scrapbook Deals 4U kits that I haven’t finished using yet!
But now I’m crazy over sewing, definitely want to make a zipper bag tonight with the same fabric of this bag.
Oh, and I’ve a tutorial on those doily flowers that I’ve learned from Donna, go check it out in Scrap a little.
As for tonight (20th over in the US) , there is going to be a revealed in Creative Scrappers on a layout that I did using their awesome sketch.
Oh, have you checked out the blog hop for Scrap a little yet? Check here to win yourself a RAK from me and other DTs on their respective sites.

I think I’m crazy

over sewing now.
Ya.. have been checking on online tutorials from bag at first, to tissue holder and now to little girl shirt! Yes, I don’t have a little girl to make that girl shirt for, but hey, I do have a niece, but then she is no longer little. She is tall! Way too tall to get into her father’s shirt. Anyway, it was fun to go through those tutorials and enjoyed those cutie photos.
I’ve gone to get some zips, pins and stuff for my next sewing project which I hope to make a small cutie pouches. I did made a bag by the help of Anna’s tutorial.

Oh ya, have you read about the Scrap a little blog hop yet? Go find out here.

Happy Monday!

Count down

Yes, ever since hubby is away for work, and once he has touched down, he’ll start counting down for his next trip home. Just can’t wait type. So here is a layout that is done for him – Count Down.

Did this layout base on a sketch by Kristine Davidson over at Scrapbook Deals 4u. This is the 2nd time I’m using the sketch, and 2nd time using it with Studio Calico‘s kit. I still have lots of stuff from that kit and yet I’m getting my 2nd kit today! The April Kit! Yes! Buoy, I have so much things to play with and so less time.
I wish I’m on holiday now, scrap holiday would be the best, or maybe a scrapping escape!

Here is a close-up of the layout on the chipboard letter stickers that I’ve inked with blue ink to make them pop a bit. I’m using the PP with numbers ‘cos this layout is to do with number, right?

So, have you all leave a comment in my post about Scrap a little blog hop? NO? Go ahead, read here.

Happy Wednesday!

Pencil Lines sketch layout

Created this layout using Pencil Lines sketch 181 and Studio Calico kit plus my Fiskars border punch, Slice die-cut machine and doileys! Yup, another doiley flower, just love that it is so easy to make.
The story about the picture: It was Easter morning right after church, we had American Breakfast and I’ve ordered 3 sets! Which I ended up eating all those eggs in their plates. And I was trying to take a picture of us using the timer, but this is what I got. Both the boys wanted to be the first to see what the camera had taken, so they grab it before I do! *LOL*.

I’ve adhered a crochet flower from Dear Lizzy paper line and those rub-on, it can go anywhere you like!

Since those letter sticker that came together with the kit doesn’t pop up, I’ve inked it with brown ink. Oh ya, not forgetting my “Brick” Tattered Angel’s glimmer mist. Still can’t get enough of it yet.

As for the Slice die-cutting, I’m a bit worried about cutting swirls, somehow it got stuck half-way and the swirl become something else, something that I can’t use. *sigh*. Anyone of you having that problem? Is it because my removable adhesive is not enough? Or I need to change the blade?

The blog hop

Easter kit

But not Easter layout. Here is one that I’ve done using Scrapbook Deals 4U Easter kit and Sketchy Thursday’s sketch:

Yup, those are real bomb shell that the boys were excited to see over in Great Aunt’s place. We had a great time there right before Easter, they got plenty of green place to run around with their long distance cousin.
I definitely love those colors in the PP of We R Memory Keepers Hippity Hoppity line. Just look at the embossed stickers:
So, how have your Easter go? Mine wasn’t being filled with eggs hunting, in fact we don’t have that over here. We did went for a breakfast together though and the boys had had enough of eggs that I had to finished up their breakfast scramble eggs! All 6 eggs!
Happy weekend!
Oh ya, I’m definitely going to do more layout using this kit and using those sketches over at Sketchy Thursday. And I still have those PP from Studio Calico! So happy!

Sweet spring

Using Dear Lizzy line from American Craft plus some other PP from Studio Calico kit and a sketch from Pencil Lines to create this layout.

Those crochet flowers are just so cute, aren’t they? Here, first time ever to use pin as part of the embellishment, I hope they don’t rusk on my page.

The Studio Calico kit comes with a mini cherry stamp which I’ve used here.

This is also another photo that taken during Chinese New Year.
Thanks for dropping and happy scrapping!
