I normally don’t use too bulky a thing in my layout, just afraid that my album can’t close up properly and it might just dent other pages in it. But this Prima flower.. this is different, it is just so pretty and doesn’t need extra embellishment to make it stands out, and I just can’t resist in using it here.
Product used: Scrapbook Deals 4U Delilah September kit:- Fancy Pants Delight PP, Prima Flower, Creative Cafe Chocolate Diecut, American Craft fabric letter stickers, Petaloo Mulberry Street Flowers; Kaiser Craft pearls and self added vintage trim.
Yes, we have our own Malaysia ScrapScene!
I first discover ScrapScene ages ago.. well.. I mean almost from the beginning when I started scrapbooking in 2007. It has been providing updates and pointers to other great sites of scrapbook and crafts.
Now, the Malaysia ScrapScene basically doing the same thing like ScrapScene. It is actually being called Scrapping Inspiration. Go check it out and start following! *wink*
At first I wanted the title to be “On being your mom”, but find that my journal is more about Calvin and it is easier for me to find those letter stickers *wink*.
Journal: Started when you were one plus, I seldom carry you ‘cos I was having your little brother. I would only carry you when I needed to. Now come to think of it, I haven’t been hugging you more enough, haven’t been carrying you more enough. And yet you grow so fast that you are getting heavier to carry. You are actually a kid that need my hugs more than anyone else. You seems to have forgotten how to “manja” with me. And often time I haven’t been paying enough time to know what you really want. You need more attention and affection. I hope I have shown you enough of that and you really feel that you are love.
Product used: Lily Bee french couture PP, Prima build-a-swirl stamp, Basic Grey bitsy stamps butterfly/b2, My Mind’s eye lil girl stamp, American Craft letter sticker, Rosa Moka appel de la nature letter stickers, Prima flowers, some Rhinestones and ric-rac.
I stumble upon this site Caardvarks from another blogger, it has so many beautiful cards there and now they are doing a challenge with adorable prize. I’ve straight subscribed to it using my Google reader. It has 364 followers now!
Sometimes I wonder how great this blogsphere is in connecting people all around the world. I’ve been subscribing to Elizabeth Kartchner’s blog and her site can come up with more than 300 comments! Liz’s site is one that if filled with fun colors and ideas, plus beautiful photos. I just love to read her post. Her layouts are all so fun to look at.
Another site that is always filled with readers is Ali Edward’s blog. Ali’s site is more of an organized person, it is neat and focus more on journal for her layout. It just remind me that layout can be real simple and yet full with meaning.
Another site that I follow is Pamela world of scrap where she shares her layout and her sketches. Even though that she needs to take care of a little baby now, she still finds time to do scrapbook. I suppose it is the same to all scrappers as we will definitely find time for what we love to do.
To me, scrapbook brings me back to sanity after a day filled with challenges with my boys. It is where I can assured them that mommy still loves them no matter what, and I wanted to keep all those sweet memories for them to read and fill in later days. I wanted also to scrap about those hard time that I’ve been having with them. They are my happiness and my frustration *LOL*.
If you are looking for color challenges or inspiration, head over to Kristina’s blog, she host a color challenge every week and you’ll be surprise that you can actually built beautiful cards with those colors. It is a matter of deciding which color is primary or more than others. She made nice bow too.
Of course there are still many great sites around, I’ve yet to discover them. 😉

So glad that I can use the SCS July Sketch for these two photos that I’ve been wanting to scrap which was taken in May. That was one rare occasion for the boys to have fun with their cousins. They had a go on the ride on those mobile “animals”, they picked their own choice, sat on them and there.. with the on of the switch then they can go basically anywhere in the shopping mall of Palm Square but carefull not to bump into anyone. They really had fun!
I’ve used: Bazzill Basic cardstock, American craft pattern paper and letter thicker, My Mind’s eye Bohemia twill ribbon, Maya Road star chipboard, Daisy D’s pattern paper in Frigato, Pink paislee office lingo collection (from Coconut ScrapShop May’s kit) and buttons from Scrap-n-Crop Earth day kit.
I’ve the fun of following a sketch and alter according to what I have and I’ve tried to use up my scrap paper too.
I’ve finally done another challenge on sketch and posted up my photos into their gallery in Coconut Scrapbooking.
I’ve used some old photos of me and hubby taken in 2001 on several places that we visited with friends. These are those photos that I don’t know how to scrap them, so thanks to Pamela of Coconut ScrapShop for hosting the June’s sketch challenge so that I can dig them out and scrap them according to the sketch that provided.
A very simple layout, I didn’t use much of my creativity, just simply follow the sketch, crop and adhere.
– we were in love.
– we had so much fun with friends and travel.
– it was in 2001
– we were in Nexus Karambunai Resort, Uncle’s home in Kundasang, and Hotspring.
– Li Szu and Spidy were also present.
I remember and I want to keep these memories forever.
Have just submitted a layout on their Showdown challenge in Coconut ScrapShop. The condition is to do a page about myself and using the color pink and with bling. So here goes my entry:
Journal “This is one of the rare photos that I have seen here alone in the picture. Ever since we have our first child, I seldom have the chance to have a solo photo of myself. All the focus turned to my two boys, and ever so often that I won’t be in the picture as I’m the one who did the photo shooting. Even if I’m in the photo, I won’t be alone. So having some solo time is precious to me, which I call “me time”. I’ve started to appreciate my quiet time, my own time, my own space and do the things that I love to do. “Me time” is a little escape for me. My “me time” now include scrapbooking, going to the salon for a hair wash, movie time with my friends and enjoying my relaxing hours of facial.- Jun 2008”
I’ve used kit’s materials from Coconut Scrapshop and Paperwishes, plus those that I bought from Scrap-n-Crop and 2peas.
Photo was taken during our trip to Hong Kong Disneyland last year, on 30 Dec 2007.
