Exam soon

Phew.. voting is up for the Horticulture and Geography class over in Scrapbook Deals 4U cramfest, anxious, excited and really suspending ‘cos Martha will only review what’s in the final exam, head over to their forum and become a member to vote.

On the other hand, I’ve just discovered a new magazine in the bookstore – for keeps Creative paper. You can try on their e-mag free for six months if you subscribe here.
Have fun!

Almost everyday

I was playing with the glimmer mist again! I wanted to do a simple page as instructed in the class of geography over in Scrapbook Deals 4U which should include some stitching, a non-scrap thing and with travel theme. So here is my take on the class:
Journal: Almost everyday we stopped by Uncles Alex’s home just because you wanted to play games on his computer. You’ll start by asking with a puppy face but if I say no you’ll start whining all the way home. So, almost everyday, we’ll stop by for at least half an hour.
One thing though, probably a little car is more suitable on where I’ve put the flowers…
Product used: Cream cardstock, Pink Paislee enchanting rub-on, Prima flowers, Making Memories tiny alpha MixedLedger, Delight Journaling sheets, Tattered angels’ auburn glimmer mist, sail boat charm, Pink Paislee letter stickers and some black felt swirl.

Just being me

Did this layout for Scrapbook Deals 4U cramfest horticulture class.

I’ve got this photo copied from hubby’s mobile phone which he took one day when we were over in LHDN (Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri) waiting to settle our income tax, I was busy thinking or doing something and wasn’t totally aware that he was going to take my picture. Thanks dear, else I won’t even have a photo of myself to scrap.
As for those flowers, the Petaloo Mulberry is from Scrapbook Deals 4U September Delight kit. I still have lots of those papers that I haven’t used in that kit. And I’m already ordering their October kit! Just can’t miss their lovely that put together by Martha. There are just so many yummy goodies inside, they are still selling it in the store, do grab one while you can.
Journal:
Being me is simple, who can be a better me than myself?
Being me is simply to love anything beautiful, scrapbooking,
craft, decoration, bright colours, vintage look, distressed look,
being love, being happy, donut, cupcake, gossip magazines,
Hollywood E! News, reality show, remodelling show,
Hong Kong modern series, surfing, blogging, day dreaming,
just relax and read my magazines, snuggle with my boys and do nothing,
go window shopping and buy nothing.
Really, I’m just being me.
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!
Product used: Autumn Leaves Resplendent, Prima flowers, Petaloo Mulberry Street Flowers, Kaiser Craft Rhinestones, American Craft letter thickers, some trim and Prima flower package backing.

Kedah

I did another mini album over the Raya holidays. I’m utilizing my Zutter bind-it-all, Marvy scallop oval puncher, We Are Memory Keeper’s corner chomper, Maya Road journal stamp, red embossing powder and a bit of creativity. I’m loving my Zutter and corner rounder.

These photos were taken way back in 2004 during a short trip to visit a local library there attending a forum/conference concerning local history. What it was, wasn’t that important and memorable to me (:D), leisure is more fun, and I get to meet up with some distance relatives over there.
Here are a few inner pages.

Yes, I get to visit the birthplace of our ex-PM (Rumah Kelahiran Mahathir Mohamad), the Menara Alor Star and the place where the famous dodol is being sold.
TFL.

Birds of a feather

Instead I’ve used “birds of the same” feather as my title, didn’t spell out the word feather as I’ve already been using real feather on the layout. This is for a math’s challenge over in Scrapbook Deals 4U.
Have used some rhinestones and jewels on the chipboard and the pattern paper.

I’ve actually been wanting to scrap these two pages of my boys with their cousin, but there photos were kept in the envelope after being processed until this challenge. Thanks to challenges, else I’ll never get these photos scrap and even used up that big chipboard of peacock feather, and those feathers!
Product used: PP from Design by reminisce: Autumn afternoon; Basic Grey: Marrakech; Chatterbox: fabulous big star; Lily Bee: French couture; letter stickers for title from American Craft and Making Memories; chipboard from Basic Grey Marrakech; jewels and rhinestones from Prima and Kaiser Craft; some lace ribbon and distressing ink.

I was playing

with my Zutter bind-it-all, glimmer mist and corner chomper, which I got over a week ago from Scrap-n-crop. I’ve been dying to use them on a project but just couldn’t get it started. Last night while watching TV, something struck me that saying I gotta try out the glimmer mist on those tag. And since I want those tags to be binded together with the o-wire, I’ve cut part of it off, and turn it to a little book. I haven’t got any quote in there yet accept the one which came with the Scrapbook Deal 4U kit.

I’ve locked myself in the scraproom, away from my son who is ever curious with my stuff and I’m sure if I let him see what I did with the mist and the heat gun, he’ll surely sneak into the room today and start messing around with them. Better be safe than sorry šŸ˜‰
Sure enough while I was having some fun with the mist and drying it off with the head gun, he was banging on the door and kept on asking what was I doing šŸ˜€

I found that embossing before misting got a better color on those stamp image.. hmm… now.. what should I include in those pages…
Product used: Heidi Swapp PP, Chatter Box Inc PP, Prima swirls samp, Penny Lane tag, Fancy Pants rub-on, Tattered angels glimmer mist auburn, label tags.

Proof

This fold-out album is inspired by Pamela’s proof mini album, I even copied some of her sentences which I think it is applicable to mine. Thanks Pamela!

I’ve actually been wanting to such a mini album like hers but can’t find the right chipboard album since I don’t want to buy new stuff. Fortunately this came in some times ago after winning it from a challenge. Thanks! I forgot from who and what reason now..

This is basically a semi-finished fold-out album form Little Yellow Bicycle. It is very easy to put together and I’ve almost used all of those little die-cut from the kit.

I’ve more photos than the space provided for each flip, thus I’ve add extra pages by adhere another piece of paper on one of the fold-out using Making Memories paper pack.

After making this album, then only I realised that it is not so durable as a chipboard album. So, maybe it is not so suitable for my boys to hold it frequently either. Hmm.. maybe I’ll make another one using chip-board.

Thanks for looking.

Fun, Love

I still think this page is lacking of something on the upper part of the page. Hmm.. probably I’ll add some bubbles somewhere…

Journal: Sharing {fun, love} & delight in simple things everyday!

This is actually for a challenge in Scrapbook Deals 4U as they are having a Cramfest there starting from this week. The challenge is to do a layout with any of the first 5 sketches available over in PageMaps for September, using 3 photos, combining journal and title together and use some punctuation in the title.
I’m using this sketch

Hmm.. some bubbles definitely need to be included.. will see how..

My boys were actually having some fun messing around with their hair in the bath while we were over in China.
TSL!

Product used: American craft letter thickers and stickers; Making Memories letter stickers, My Mind’s Eye Bloom & Grow PP; border punches from Fiskars.

CD minibook 2

I’ve done CD minibook before here for myself. This time the album is upon request from Calvin for himself and mainly he wanted to be part of it. Half willingly I wanted him to have some fun too. I said half, ‘cos I’m worried that he’ll spoil those photos, those embellishment and wasted my adhesive.

Anyhow, not only I let him had a go in adhering those photos, I let Mervin in doing the same too. So they split their fun and I had fun embellishing it after they have gone to bed *wink*.
Calvin was so proud of this little book of him that he even brought it to church yesterday and took it out to show his friends. I’m glad that he has develop this crafting spirit but that also means I might be loosing some of my stuff to him.
It is a very simple minibook without much journaling but it is another way to showcase some of his baby photos.

Publish PostI first learn how to do this mini album from Grace T, here. Do drop by her blog to say hello.
Product used: Imaginisce bouncing baby boy, shake, rattle & roll rub-on; Gypsy harvest musings rub-on; American Craft celebration PP; Daisy Bucket designs rub-on; HOTP boy tag; Jilibean soup minestrone PP.

Calvin

This is quite a plan page for me ‘cos I haven’t got any journaling in the page, which I’m thinking to put strips of journal not on the left of the page. I did this page by following a sketch from pagemaps and have used mainly My Mind’s eye product from Scrapbook Deals 4u kit. I’m also entering this for the Scrap-it-lah September challenge.

I used my glimmer mist for the first time on the bracket sign turning it into auburn.
Here, Calvin looks way older than he is, buoy.. my boy is growing so fast!
