Sweet spring

Using Dear Lizzy line from American Craft plus some other PP from Studio Calico kit and a sketch from Pencil Lines to create this layout.

Those crochet flowers are just so cute, aren’t they? Here, first time ever to use pin as part of the embellishment, I hope they don’t rusk on my page.

The Studio Calico kit comes with a mini cherry stamp which I’ve used here.

This is also another photo that taken during Chinese New Year.
Thanks for dropping and happy scrapping!

F for family

This is one of the photos that taken during Chinese New Year, that’s why all the red color! We had a photo session without my MIL ‘cos she already went to the temple. This one was taken at home and I just love it when I can use those lovely paper from Dear Lizzy line which came in the Studio Calico kit. That kit is just filled with goodies, even those thank you tag and package backing are usable! The wood pattern that I used for the photo mat is actually the package backing for the wood vinyl, same goes to the sun pattern behind the photo, and the horizontal yellow PP is a notice tag that came together in the kit.

I’ve put a bit of lace from my stash in this layout and have cut those lovely flowers from Dear Lizzy PP as part of the embellishment.

This layout is done using the April sketch over at Scrapbook Deals 4U. Go have some fun with the sketch and you might just get to win something from them.
Happy Scrapping!

Scrap A Little blog hop

Hey there, been wanting to do this which is so fun when I join in for other sites. Yes, a blog hop!
This is our first design team blog hop for Scrap a little, it is for April’s challenge as well.

I hope you’ve come from the right place, if you are not, then hop on over to Scrap a little and start from there, you won’t wanna miss anything and miss the real challenge for April!

The song that I picked is “Say what you need to say” by John Mayer.

Take all of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all of your so-called problems,
Better put ’em in quotations

Say what you need to say [x8]

Walking like a one man army
Fighting with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment
Knowing you’d be better off instead,
If you could only . . .

Say what you need to say [x8]

Have no fear for giving in
Have no fear for giving over
You’d better know that in the end
Its better to say too much
Then never say what you need to say again

Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide open

Say what you need to say [x24]

To me, this song means to really say it out rather than keeping it ‘cos you might not have the chance to say what you need to say after wards.

I did a layout base on this song using Creative Scrapper’s sketch #97 and I’ve used other quote for the journaling which read “Those who matter wont’ mind, those who mind wont’ matter.”

My son just grow so much! I still miss his chubby toddler look.
Now, let’s just choose a song and let’s hop on over to the next blog – back to Scrap a little! Don’t forget to link to Mr. Linky over at Scrap a little for your layout!

Have fun!

Edited: forgot to mention this:
If you become a follower of my blog and leave me a comment here, you’ll be entered into a random drawing at the end of April for a little RAK that I’ve put together. Will show the contents soonest.

Layouts for SD4U challenges

Am going to share about what I’ve done for Scrapbook Deals 4U birthday challenge.
Firstly, this is the one for things / people that I love, with scallop appearing in the LO:

This PP has been in my stash for a long time, definitely more than 2 years, and only now then I got a chance to use it. Those are some cute chipboard that I get from Scrapbook Deals 4U March kit. I’ve misted them with Tattered Angels’ mist in brick. Have used gel medium on some of those chipboard.

The layout is pretty simple, no mating for the photos, with simple embellishment. The PP itself has got pretty motif which is good enough.

Another layout done for SD4U challenge. This time is to do a winter layout using winter element, I’m using snowflakes overlay from Humbly Print. This is quite a challenge for me ‘cos we don’t have winter here. And I would have thought that I don’t have any winter photo, but I found one at the end. One that I’ve forgotten about. We were in HK for holiday at end of 2009. It was really cold and the boys need to get into their cousins’ winter clothes in order to go to the Avenue of Stars.
Here is the layout using Urban Ink PP, also another kit from Scrapbook Deals 4u. I’m glad that I didn’t cover the lower part of the PP, I love those white pictures.
I’ve cut out those snow flakes overlay and adhere them on to the page.
That’s all for tonight, will post some more layouts that I did for SD4U challenge.
Happy scrapping!

Brother and sisters

Here is another layout from the result of joining challenges online. This is for Scrapbook Deals 4U grateful challenge using Pencil Lines’ sketch #179.

These are my brother and sisters during a dinner date for just the 6 of us last year. Hope to do this more often.

The red scallop cardstock has been in my stash for a long time, definitely more than a year, and now only it get to be used. I got the pink ribbon from local craft store and those doily from a baking shop for the flower. Those swirls are from Slice basic element.

Those butterflies are rub-on from Basic Grey Origins kit, love them!
I had fun misting and making the doily flower.
Happy scrapping!

looking back

Had so much fun over at Scrapbook Deals 4U during their 2nd birthday party recently. I get to scrap photos that I’ve forgotten about, I get to look at those photos and really think of anything else that I wanted my boys know. I get to look back at things.

So, I get to scrap this photo of my son back when he was still little, though he is still, but he is much taller now. This is for a challenge to use 5 flowers, living element and bling. I felt that I’ve distressed this layout a lot, what say ya?
Here are some more close-up detail of those layered flowers from BoBunny and felt flower stickers from Basic Grey Origins kit. Am really looking forward to the arrival of my Origins Kit again and this time is from Basic Grey themselves! I got my Origins kit first from Scrapbook Deals 4u actually.

Going to post another layout soon.
Happy Scrapping!

2 page layout about my space

Yup, another layout done for the challenge over in Scrapbook Deals 4u. This time is about myself and it needs 4 to 6 photos in a 2 page layout. So I did it! These photos doesn’t even got my face in there! Haha..

I’ve used my Slice to make those flowers and also the gel medium to shine them all:

Love my Slice! And of course love what I have at the moment in my space, am grateful that I have such place to scrap.
Happy Scrapping!
Product used: Prima Moda PP, BoBunny Delilah PP and stickers, Honey I’m home stickers.

~*~*~*~*~*~*

Another great news is, Pamela Young is having a week-long giveaway over at her blog, you won’t wanna miss this. She is also having a site for challenges over here where you can get lots of inspiration if you are running out of idea.

So there, two great fun with prizes waiting for you, happy scrapping!

More Origins

Here are two layouts that I did over the weekend.

First, I felt cool and kind of dolly with my just out of salon hair *LOL*, that’s why taken this photo while stopping in the traffic light, silly me huh? But that’s the best time to take photo actually.. and I’ve play with Picasa and get this result from my normal color photo. This is actually done for a sketch challenge over at Creative Scrappers sketch #94

Have used Origins kit again and I’ve tried to use as many things as possible from the kit and yet, it is still a lot left, I still have almost one whole packet of felt embellishment.

I’ve used Tim Holtz crackle paint on the sticker flowers which I’ve adhere in cardstock.

I really want to learn how to layer my embellishment to make them more interesting, but I always ended up using just sparingly.

Another layout I did using the Origins kit and for another sketch challenge, this time is for Scrapbook Deals 4U sketch #52.

I’ve done a bit of stitching here, since I’m not sure what to do with the circle in the sketch and I don’t want to use too many pattern paper in this layout, so I stitch!

Those swirls are from Making Memories Slice basic element card 3.

These are my 3 boys at a day out in somewhere cooler. I’ve ran out of “o”, so I’ve cut part away from the number 6. Not bad huh?

I’ve used my crackle paint again on the flower sticker, am loving how the paint made the flower twisted up a bit.
Go have some fun with these sketch challenges, it will give you a head start on your layout and really help you do make your pages, I know they do.

Happy scrapping!
