Yong forever

I did a layout for the Summer Camp Rock in Scrapbook Deals 4U, but a bit too late to load it into the gallery before due time. Anyway, I am glad that I managed to do a layout base on the challenge, else I will not even scrap those photos. You can read about the challenge here.

Here is what I came up with using Basic Grey Kioshi Paper.

Photos were taken on 29 Dec, 2007 in China. Those cute crochet flowers are from Dear Lizzy line, aren’t they just cute!? I’ve bought more of such crochet flower from an Etsy Shop here.
I got this idea of using a frame for those crochet flowers from Piradee on this layout of her. Thanks Piradee!
To make the title pop up from the busy background, I’ve doodle around the letters to make them more prominent.

Now I’m off to solve the Scavenger Hunt over in Scrapbook Deals 4U.

Happy Scrapping!

Product used: Basic Grey Kioshi PP, letter stickers, ribbon doilies, K&Company die-cut stickers frames, AC Dear Lizzy crochet flowers, Pink Paislee Queen Bee bella brads, October Afternoon Trift Shop label stickers, Tim Holtz distressing ink and Doodlebug DesignIinc. pigment ink.

Camp Rock #1

Scrapbook Deals 4U is going into the second Summer Camp Rock Challenge now. While I’m putting a thinking hat on that one, let me just share with you what I’ve done for the challenge #1.
The layout must contain 3 things…

  1. One pic only….a photograph of YOU
  2. Your favorite color must be dominant followed by least favorite color. (you may use other colors but minimal)
  3. Your nickname.

Here is what I’ve done:

My favorite color is green and the one least favorite color is purple, which by the way, I’m wearing that color today..hmm.. Monday blue maybe *LOL* Actually I don’t have a least favorite color. It is just that purple to me is harder to scrap and it is harder to match with other color. As for my nickname, yup, Honey. I was being called that during  my senior high, ‘cos I was sitting with a bunch of guys who were ever so talkative and I was like being cornered. Somehow I get along well with them and they started to give me this nickname – Honey. Even till now, some of them still call me that. I kind of like it too, especially if hubby is the one who call me that *wink*.

I’m using Studio Calico kit plus some Prima and BoBunny flowers. My Fiskars border punch come into used and my Slice too. That little birdie is cut using Slice.

Well, what are you waiting for? If you haven’t join in the fun yet, head straight over to Scrapbook Deals 4U forum and get yourself registered for the camp rock.

Happy Monday you all!

Seriously?

My hardest work so far got two, one is to get my eldest son to eat his dinner, another one is to get him finish his daily homework from school! It was a dred for him! And such a frustrating thing for me too!

So, in this layout I’m actually questioning if he did really that serious about his homework. Seeing here is him doing his homework full heartedly, without even looking at the camera when I snap his photo. But in actual fact, he was frustrated for not being able to write faster and neater, not being able to play with the brother in the Kiddies Club. I wish homework is a bliss for him.

I made this layout for the crop challenge over at Scrapbook Deals 4U, using all Studio Calico kit, except the doily and trim are from my stash. This is a lift from Jenn’s layout:

Thanks for passing by and happy weekend!!

Art class life is good

This layout I did is one of the layout done during the crop in Scrapbook Deals 4U. The challenge is to use blue, yellow, distressing and flowers. So I’ve been using my doily again, which I have misted with blue mist.
Yup, another boy’s page with flowers, this time even the background PP also has flowers! What more with those Prima flowers! LOL! Oh, I do love that birdie! Everything here is from Scrapbook Deals 4U kit – April shower, well, except the doily.
The boys were in their art class, seriously having some art work done! Just look at them, so occupied! LOL!
Happy Thursday you all! I’m glad that tomorrow will be Friday!! Yippie!! Weekend!!
Will show another layout on Friday.

Boys will be boys

Here is another layout that get done during the Scrapbook Deals 4U crop recently:

The challenge is to use blue and yellow, rubons and someone else’s words.
In the photos were my boys busy with their own puzzles. Once again, those puzzles are kept inside the toys’ box now *sigh*. I wish their toys can sustained longer. Those PP are from Studio Calico kit and those rubons are from Scrapbook Deals 4U Urban kit.

Am using a sketch from Creating Keepsakes.

KristineD’s Sketch Challenge during the crop

Here is a layout that is done based on Kristine D’s sketch in Scrapbook Deals 4U:

Am using everything from the April’s kit – April shower from Scrapbook Deals 4U. Yes, I don’t care, I used the PP with flowers for my boys’ page. Who set the rules anyway? If the boys don’t like it, oh well.. they are most probably complaint about it when they are bigger, when those pages are already done! LOL!

Happy Tuesday!

From the crop

I told you I’ve done 5 layouts during the recent crop in Scrapbook Deals 4U right? Yup, here is the first one that I’ve done:

The challenge is to use green to represent the great outdoor. I’m using all Basic Grey Origins again for this layout. The photo was taken awhile ago when my boys still crazy over Transformers. Now those two toys are being kept inside their toys’ box and have been forgotten. Well, maybe they’ll remember if there is some other kid come over to the house and play them, they sure will want to grab hold of them again.
I’m using a sketch from somewhere, if not mistaken, it should be from Creating Keepsakes.
Here, a close-up of the journal tag and clip:

I’m loving all those distressing look. Now I think I’m getting better with it by tearing off some of the edges from the paper and really inking them. That remind me to get more new ink as those ink are drying up now and I need some more adhesive, oh, and a new album! Gosh, so much to spend for now.
Product used: Basic Grey Origins line.

Pencil Lines sketch layout

Created this layout using Pencil Lines sketch 181 and Studio Calico kit plus my Fiskars border punch, Slice die-cut machine and doileys! Yup, another doiley flower, just love that it is so easy to make.
The story about the picture: It was Easter morning right after church, we had American Breakfast and I’ve ordered 3 sets! Which I ended up eating all those eggs in their plates. And I was trying to take a picture of us using the timer, but this is what I got. Both the boys wanted to be the first to see what the camera had taken, so they grab it before I do! *LOL*.

I’ve adhered a crochet flower from Dear Lizzy paper line and those rub-on, it can go anywhere you like!

Since those letter sticker that came together with the kit doesn’t pop up, I’ve inked it with brown ink. Oh ya, not forgetting my “Brick” Tattered Angel’s glimmer mist. Still can’t get enough of it yet.

As for the Slice die-cutting, I’m a bit worried about cutting swirls, somehow it got stuck half-way and the swirl become something else, something that I can’t use. *sigh*. Anyone of you having that problem? Is it because my removable adhesive is not enough? Or I need to change the blade?

Easter kit

But not Easter layout. Here is one that I’ve done using Scrapbook Deals 4U Easter kit and Sketchy Thursday’s sketch:

Yup, those are real bomb shell that the boys were excited to see over in Great Aunt’s place. We had a great time there right before Easter, they got plenty of green place to run around with their long distance cousin.
I definitely love those colors in the PP of We R Memory Keepers Hippity Hoppity line. Just look at the embossed stickers:
So, how have your Easter go? Mine wasn’t being filled with eggs hunting, in fact we don’t have that over here. We did went for a breakfast together though and the boys had had enough of eggs that I had to finished up their breakfast scramble eggs! All 6 eggs!
Happy weekend!
Oh ya, I’m definitely going to do more layout using this kit and using those sketches over at Sketchy Thursday. And I still have those PP from Studio Calico! So happy!
