congratulations

I would probably won’t be able to give out this card by the end of this week. The card is meant for a colleague cum friend who has just given birth to a baby girl. I haven’t met the cutie pie yet. At the same time that I’m hoping she is reading my post, I’m also hoping that she’ll read this after I’ve given her the card 😀

I made this card by using the sketch from Got Sketch #86.

The cute little butterfly is from Suzanne, thanks again lady!

Ops, I forgot to take down what product I’ve used here. All I can remember is the pearl is from Kaiser Craft, the green PP is from American Craft, cardstock is from Bazzill Basic. Well have to update the list later.

Two cards and a layout

These are the cards made upon request from my sister who wanted 2 thank you cards for her friends. So I’ve used a sketches from Got Sketch (sketch #79) and Beary Box (card sketch #21). It is so much easier with sketches and kits that are already coordinated. I’ve used some scrap and also kits from Color Me Daisy and Scrapbook Deals 4U. Thank God for that.

I’ve done a layout as well over the week, using a sketch from PageMap. But now I couldn’t find it. I read it over at someone else blog about the sketch.

I’m using lots of distressing here on my patter paper and the self-made flowers that I’ve learn online.

These are my boys trying to look goofy in the morning when I wanted to take photos of them.

Happy Monday!

Kristina’s Color Inspiration #45

This colors are monochromatic, however one of my pictures came out not quite showing the dark black in the pattern paper that I’m using, probably due to the florescence light in my office. Anyway, this is what I came up with from the color inspiration over at Kristina’s blog:

Using the idea of inchies again, which is easy to put together with scraps. I’m using Tinkering Ink’s PP, Prima grey flower, Making Memories black brads and ribbon from HOTP.

Thanks for stopping by.

Time flies

Ya.. didn’t realise I haven’t been updating my blog and posting the photos for project 365 these past few days. I’ve been busy catching up with work. There was just too many meetings to attend, problem to be solved and preparation to be done for next week. I might not be able to update my sites next week as I’ll be going away for 2 trips. So another thing is I won’t be able to join in the fun of challenges too. *sigh*.

But at the mean time, here are two things to share – a card and an LO done for online challenges. Good way to get me going in using all those scrap that I normally won’t think of using.

The card below is made for Mother’s day, an early one with brads that I’ve almost forgotten. As for this layout below, it is talking about my two boys on how they have enjoyed the ABC that they’ve tried the first time over in Tun Fuad Park.

Both projects have used stuff from Color Me Daisy Kits. Papers from Basic Grey, Pink Paislee and Making Memories journal booklet.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cards from sketches

Did these two cards from sketches provided online over at Creative Scrappers and Scrapbook deals 4u. It is much easier to do the card if there is a sketch to follow. For the first card, I’ve used all things from Color Me Daisy February kit plus one PP from HOTP. The 2nd card used their January kit plus MM paper pack bought from Scrap-n-Crop. Definitely going to send these cards out.

There is a site that offer really good and clear sketches: check out Sketch Maps. Sketch Maps even come out with a book that filled with all the sketches! Now.. hmm.. who would give me that?

Cards to say hello and for V Day

Here are two cards that I’ve made using the same sketch and I’ve made some alteration on the placement of the pattern paper.

First is a card for V Day which is exactly how the sketch look like over in SoCalScrap February cards sketch challenge.

I’m entering the one below into the challenge, though it has been altered a bit. I hope these two cards can be sent ASAP just in time for V Day.

Product used: American craft PP and ribbon, Imaginisce PP, Bazzill Basic cardstock and just the edge, letter stamp from HOTP, felt heart from Queen & Co., the overlay frame from Pamela from winning her sketch challenge last year.

I found that it is easy to make cards when there is a sketch available and also some left over from my stash of PP, and I still love my fiskar border punch.

Card and layout

It was a special day yesterday, it was Archilles 1st birthday. Archilles is one brave boy that is being love more than anyone else I suppose even though his father is already in heaven. I’ve made a colorful card for him yesterday plus ang pow. Not sure if he’ll enjoy it but hopefully Archilles mom like it *wink*.

As for late last night after the birthday dinner, I managed to do a layout about Cal on how brave he is. He is not afraid of bugs, not like the mother *grin*.

I’ve used the Kelly Pinacci’s PP which I’ve bought long time ago, should be around 2007. I think it goes nicely in this layout.

Product used: PP from Kelly Pinacci, stamps from Maya Road and Making Memories, chipboard stickers, ribbon and some PP from American Craft.

Thanks for looking.

cards

Did two cards, one is inspired by this challenge.

Another card is made within half hour for a friend whom invited us for dinner in her place last night.

I’ve embossed the butterfly stamped. Use my fiskar punch again *wink*.

Product used: A micture of American Craft, Scenic Route, Queen & Co., Hero Arts and some other that I can’t remember.

Color inspiration #39

I managed to do a page last night using the color inspiration #39 of Kristina. I hope my colors are as close as what she has suggested.

I stamp twice using the butter, once on the card using black ink and once on a white cardstock using red ink, then pop up the butter on top in the card. Love that.

Product used: I’ve used the My Mind’s eyes Lil Girl stamp came together from Color Me Daisy January Kit. American Craft Modabella pretty pattern paper and ribbon. Hero Arts clear stamp, Bazzill Basic just edge cardstock.

TFL.

Color challenge

I did two cards with the color inspiration #38 of Kristina.

The first one is for Jewelle who just given birth to a baby girl, going to give her a visit over lunch hour.

A close up:

The 2nd one using the same colors, I’ve made a valentine’s card with felt heart again, this time plus a heart brad from Making Memories.

From the side:

I’ve used Bazzill Basic color cardstock with Imaginisce’s pattern paper that I got from Scrap-n-crop days ago. Those baby line are just so cute.
