For charity

My colleague and friends will be going to visit a convent this Saturday. They needed some donation in cash, bags and maybe some clothing. If you do want to donat, please contact Jenn. What I’ve been asked to do is some thank you cards for those generous people who has donated cash. I am so glad that I can help and at least give something back.
I’ve plan to make a dozen similar cards with some pattern papers from my Easy Scrapbooking calender. Since they are all not for sale item, I didn’t use all archival safe product in this project, so it is a low cost thing. I had fun doing it.
Going to make the other half dozen tonight.

25 days before Christmas book

I know Christmas is not around the corner yet, not till you all have celebrated Halloween, but Ali already starting to talk about building up a book of “25 days before Christmas“. And she has shared a story about Christmas too.

She did one last year and you can see last year’s entire completed December Daily album here.

I wanted to join in this building a book thing and will start to collect those neccesary stuff and hopefully I can get mine done before December and then even when I’m over in China, I can bring it along and write down the things that happen at that moment.

What I have at the moment is a chipboard book that I think I can use, some Christmas embellishement, ribbons, pattern paper and of course some colorful buttons, oh not forgetting I do have some stamps perfect for Christmas.

Yep, let me get into the mood of Christmas by listening to some Christmas songs first.

Flower mini album

I did a mini album, it is a transfer from the old album that I did with black cardstock, don’t really like the look of it, so I’ve transfer all the photos except one to this new flower album. Luckily I’ve used temporary adhesive, so the photos came off easily.

I didn’t manage to take a good photo of it from my room last night, it is just not enough light.

Will try to get better pictures.

This is the old album here.

I’ve used most of my paper and embellishment from the Color Me Daisy kits.

Cards

Did a few cards actually, one is not showing here, ‘cos I’m going to sent it out today and wanted to keep it secret (she might be reading here..). It is the first Halloween card that I’ve made! Most probably will post it up here once my friend has received it.

So showing here are two cards. I did 4 similar cards for the first one, with PP from Color Me Daisy August kit. Stamp from Scrap-n-Crop. I can just stamp on any suitable sentiment on the blue block when I need. It is suitable for anything actually.

2nd one is using Color Me Daisy August kit pattern paper and polka dot overlay and also September kit American Craft chipboard thickers.

Sorry the cards look a bit blue..hahaha.. must be getting the blue from Monday :p

Mini album

Yup, I’ve done a mini album while the boys is having their nap, and I have mine too.. I mean after that la.. so here is how it looks like showing a few inside pages.

I love those paper came in from Color Me Daisy’s August kit. I’ve bought the kit and am waiting for another one which I won from their online challenges! 😀

Enjoy your weekend!

Snazzy & such giveaway

Saw this from Zura’s blog talking about a give away going on in Snazzy & Such blog.

Snazzy & Such is turning one tomorrow, the owner has made a simple but beautiful tote which contain a full load of stuff! She is giving them away!

There is a catch though, that is just to blog about this give away in your own blog and I have till 24th October 2008 to announce it.

Easy, right? So, go ahead and grab this opportunity!

Happy Birthday Snazzy & Such!!

In high creative mode

Yupe, that’s what happened last night! I did 3 layouts and one insert of the card in finishing off the card that I’ve done earlier. I’m so glad that I’ve got my stuff from Scrap-n_crop yesterday. New stamp set, pigment ink, embossing ink and pattern paper. I straight away play with them last night.

I’ve used the owl stamp from “Sassafras Lass Clear Stamps – Olivia & Pals” and chocolate pigment ink, it really looks yummy to me..
As for the one below, I’ve used all things from Coconut September kit plus the rub-on from Color Me Daisy September kit. Then again, I’ve used the embossing ink from my SnC order. So glad I’ve ordered it.
Here is another one which I used Color Me Daisy’s September kit plus the just edge Bazzill cardstock.

The one below is more towards remember what I thought about Cal, for he just grown up so fast! I’ve used Bazzill Basic just edges, Pink Paislee Office Lingo Collection – Roundtable Scallop (Die Cut Pattern Papers) and Pink Paislee Office Lingo Collection – Die Cut Shapes.

Haven’t I?

I must have memory lost, didn’t I post here? OMG! I’ve been surfing and blog hopping probably just reading..did I? What have I done? Work? That is definitely, we’ve got target to meet you know?

Anyway, here are somethings that I wanted to share:

This is an altered wooden frame, the frame is from IKEA. I’ve covered it with patterned paper from Color Me Daisy September kit, then put some self-made felt flowers with brads and ribbons on top. The frame can actually be displayed horizontally and upright. Both ways, the flowers will still be on top.
As for this, I call it a vintage card, not sure if it fits in the category of vintage. It is still not done yet, I haven’t finished the inside of the cards. Will update here again.
