I told you I’ve done 5 layouts during the recent crop in Scrapbook Deals 4U right? Yup, here is the first one that I’ve done:

The challenge is to use green to represent the great outdoor. I’m using all Basic Grey Origins again for this layout. The photo was taken awhile ago when my boys still crazy over Transformers. Now those two toys are being kept inside their toys’ box and have been forgotten. Well, maybe they’ll remember if there is some other kid come over to the house and play them, they sure will want to grab hold of them again.
I’m using a sketch from somewhere, if not mistaken, it should be from Creating Keepsakes.

I’m loving all those distressing look. Now I think I’m getting better with it by tearing off some of the edges from the paper and really inking them. That remind me to get more new ink as those ink are drying up now and I need some more adhesive, oh, and a new album! Gosh, so much to spend for now.

The online crop and an announcement

How was your National Scrapbook Day gone? Have you got yourself some goodies or have done several pages joining in the online crop?

Mine was fabulous! I’ve had so much fun and have got all 5 pages done! Yes!!
Will share about them later. As for now, I have this layout to share with you today:

This is for the challenge over at Scrap-a-little, that is to create a new layout using (90%) Basic Grey products.

Yes, in the photo is my boys with their grandpa, during their visit to a palm farm and seeing the palm for the first time. They don’t look that excited in the photo, but in actual fact, they were!

Everything in this layout are from Basic Grey Origins line, except those doilies. I’m loving those doilies from the baker shop and those stickle stickers from the same BG line is just so cute!

National Scrapbook Day

Wow, there is so much going on for this special day. First even before this, is the celebration of Scrap-a-little first anniversary, BTW, have you commented in my post and became the follower of this blog for Scrap-a-little blog hope yet? Its going to end today!!

Then there is a crop challenge over at Scrapbook Deals 4u, then there is another in Creating Keepsake, and another in Scrapbook Challenges! There is a new palette over at the Color Room too! I love all those layouts that being done by their designers, so pretty! Buoy, I wish I have all those photos and time to follow all these celebration.

Sweet chubby you

Love those sketches over at Creative Scrappers, what more I can use it together with my Studio Calico kit!

Yes, I do miss his chubby face when he was still little, he has lost all those baby fat now and in fact a bit too skinny to me. When I look at him, I just thought to myself, hey you grow so much and too fast! I wish I can still see your chubby face.

Scenic Route layouts

I get to receive one pack of Scenic Route paper from Helen (Scrap-a-little) few weeks ago and had been creating layouts using it. Those paper are super fun and pretty, plus those tags and stickers!
These are what I came up with, 3 layouts and I still have lots of paper to play with.

I love how quick I can come up with a layout without much matching to do as the paper line can be used together and with those stickers and chipboard, they are fun!

Yes, sometimes a picture doesn’t tell the true story behind, it needs journaling, it need the story itself to be written. There goes for these pictures of my boys with their breakfast. They didn’t really finish off their American Breakfast of eggs, sausages, bake beans and toast. I was the one helping them with those eggs. This was during Easter morning.
I wanted to make this page as something from the news, some truth of it, thus I cut and tear out a peeping window from my cardstock and put those photos in the peeping window with lots of distressing. It took me quite some times to finish off this page, ‘cos it was very blunt initially without the doiley flower and the journaling strip.
I love how it turns out. I have even changed my mind to move those fancy photo corner cut-out from the Slice.

Happy Monday!

Mother’s Day is next month, but I feel like celebrating it even now. Yup, mom is definitely the greatest! I’m even feeling it now for my mother-in-law. I wasn’t having a good relationship with her before but we are getting better and I think she is getting along better with people better now.

This is my mom in the picture, a picture that I took of her without her knowing, but after this, I had another photo of her laughing out loud ‘cos she knows I was playing with my camera.

Am using Creative Scrapper’s sketch for this layout and Scrapbook Deals 4U April Kit # 3 April Showers kit . Which is filled with Jack & Jill Quite Contrary Collection Papers and cute embellishments! Should really check it out.

I’m loving the distressing look, even tear some bits and pieces off the page and PP to get the look. Oh ya.. and that pack of Prima flowers are gorgeous!
