I’m using USD ‘cos I wanted to pay with my palpal’s account, so there goes all my earning from paid post 😀 If however you prefer to pay with RM, then just choose to convert to RM on top of their shopping page.

So there, so you all have an idea how much it may cost to shop for scrapbooking things here. In comparison I’ll get the same end total if I would to shop from a US site and it takes longer to reach me.

Surely, later I’ll let you all know what I’ve used in my layout. So, happy shopping and you must try Scrap-n-Crop, they are super fast in doing the stock check and shipment.

The boots

After awhile in doing my pages by hand journaling, I came back to use printer again. This time I used Ali Edwards’ handwriting font, got it free online. Don’t you just love free things?

I actually run out of the letter “o”, so I’ve used a sleeping 8 instead, and it turns out just fun *grin*

Being the greedy self, I just wanted to include every photos that I’ve taken on the boys. So I ended up using a 2-page spread.

I’ve used back what I’ve written here with some alteration:

“The boys got into the oversize boots that belongs for my parents and couldn’t care less about getting dirty or hard to walk.
Mer just stand there and stomp on the mud. Cal requested to have his own pair of boots after this.
Just seeing them enjoying the mud was fun for me and those smile and laughter are worth more than the jackpot.
Childhood, a time to enjoy the simple day to day fun.”

I’ve used Queen&Co violet felt, American craft thicker chipboard letter, the PP, brads, film stripe overlay and cardstock are from Paperwishes’ kit.

Sorry for the blur photos.

Little Mer – The Food Lover

Yup, this post is about my little Mer, who just loves to eat. You give him anything that us adults like, just as long as it is not hot, he’ll surely answer you with nodding his head and with is thumb up, sometimes even with sound effect: “Yummmmm….”

I’ve got him in photos while he was enjoying his food recently during our trip to Shenzhen. He was savouring steam egg with minced pork in a local restaurant. I just love seeing him enjoying his food.
I don’t have an idea how I should place my photos at first, I just thought I gotta use the journal tag from Jenni Bowling then stamp it with part of the Remember Log Singleton Stamp (Maya Road) as the heading. Then I found those cute die-cut from Personal shopper kit that I didn’t use, which is just nice for this LO about food. Everything just fall into places when I just let it be.

The two smaller photos actually cost me more to develop, they are RM2 (it is call 2-up), where else the bigger photo is just RM0.40

I’ve used Scrolls Acrylic Stamp Set (Mayaroad), stripe pattern paper from Daisy D’s, Star pattern paper and White Gift Box Chipboard Thickers Stickers (American Crafts), Spring Picnic Journaling Cards (jenni bowlin), pots and pans die-cut, swirl metal, bronze brats from Personal Shopper month kit, orange small square brads from Making Memories and White Memories Dye Ink Pad (Hero Arts)

Sharing 1 cup

Did you all have a great mother’s day weekend?

Here is a LO copying the sketch in one of scrapbook.etc magazine.

Love to see my boys when they are enjoying themselves and sharing, especially when they are sharing with one another, that is really precious moments for me, cos it is hard to see them doing that. I remember almost every moment that they fight with one another and also fighting to get my attention. Once one is seeking my help to get out of the room, the other will ask me to stay and accompany him. So I do cherish all those sharing moments that they have and enjoy seeing them when they are having fun together.

I’m using ribbon, pattern paper (celebrate) and chipboard letter stickers from American Craft, Pattern Paper from Daisy D’s, tag from Basic Grey matchbook set, felt (fall theme) from Queen & Co., and some ribbons from Paperwishes Personal Shopper monthly kit (citrus).

Back to creating again!!

Yup, just can’t wait not to use my new stuff. After getting them yesterday from 2peas, I straight away started to play with them last night.

Well, not really much of new technique here, just warming myself up after 2 weeks away from scrapbooking.

I’ve used some of the materials that I’ve bought except the pattern paper. (The PP is from Paperwishes’ April monthly kit.)

Jornal: The noisy, non-stop, playful and fun bunch. After brunch in foo phin.

I wanted to learn new technique actually, ‘cos I found that I haven’t been using any special technique in my layout. They are just simple cut and past thing, or maybe some stamping which doesn’t need any skill. I wish there are cropping session locally that I can attend a class or two.
Maybe I should get an heat gun so that I can do some embossing, ‘cos I do have the embossing powder. Silly me huh? Getting the powder and yet not the tool to do it.
I don’t have special cutter too, like a 12′ cutter/trimmer, oval cutter, square punch, circle punch.. buoy.. I’m really needing of new tools.

Oh ya.. before I forgot, I love to use the American craft chipboard letter stickers, they are just so fun and easy to use. Arrange them as where I like, then only press down to adhere them. Should get more.

National scrapbook day today!!

I didn’t knew until just few days ago that there is a National scrapbook day in the U.S. But I suppose we could also celebrate it together. There is a lot going on in major scrapbook stores. Go check out Two Peas, free classes, contest and discount, 12 hours of activities from 9 am – 9 pm CST. Go check it out.
Keep an eye for Scrap-N-Crop too, they are gearing up for this day.
Happy scrapping and of course, happy shopping

Can’t believe it

I can’t believe it myself! I’ve been going on with life without doing any scrapbook over the past few days since I left Sabah. Another 2 more days, it will be officially a week away from home and a week from not doing any page! Goodness, I thought I can’t survive without it. But well.. I still think I can’t. Over the past few days, although I haven’t touch any pattern paper or cardstock, I haven’t been stopping in reading about scrapbooking. I still logon to my blog subscription, forum, favourite scrapbooking site, my shopping cart to check on my order and yup, read Creating Keepsakes magazines that I’ve brought over with me.
Maybe this is the time for me to rejuvenate myself, store up the creative memories for me to get back to my scrapping world again once I’m back home again in another week time.

5lidE LO

It seems like I never stop posting new layout that I’ve done here. Well.. simply because I might not be able to post any for the next two weeks! Yes, two weeks! I’ll be away from my comfort zone of scrapbooking and go to visit my sis and hubby over in Hong Kong and China. It seems like just days ago that we were there and yet we are making another trip there again.

This LO that I just did is on those photos taken during our trip to Hong Kong Disneyland (30 -31 Dec ’07). Following with these posts: Getaway and Sunny Day in Hollywood Hotel, these are the photos that taken right after that.

My boys had so much fun on the slide that they don’t seems to be leaving. My and hubby just let them to enjoy that as the playground here don’t normally have safe mat floor.
These photos are just so blue in color, I just let the color of blue and red (from the boys’ jackets) to pop up with a mute earth color cardstock. To balance off the page, I used some red brads as embellishment. The word “Slide” is just concident that I run out of “S” and “e”, so I used “5” and an inverted “3” instead. It is also concident that their age are 5 and 3!

Tag is from Making Memories, vinyl letter from American Craft (can get from 2peas) and brads from HOTP. The blue ribbons are from Personal Shopper monthly kit.

TFL.

Before & After LO

I’ve actually shown two photos of my sons having nap on one of the afternoon when we were over in China here. What I’ve just did was scrap that two photos.

I had a hard time deciding how to position the photos actually, cos the 2nd photo was taken with an angel. Then after I’ve used the coaster for alphabet B and A, I decided to repeat the pattern on the journal tag. Then finally decided to put some brads on the side of the photos so that the page isn’t that empty.

I’ve used Cardstock from Bazill Basic, SEI granny’s kitchen coasters, mini brads from Making Memories, letter stickers from Basic Grey

Happy scrapping!
