Little snowman

It is fun on what you can make with your left over scrap pieces of paper from a kit that you just can’t finish using from making layouts and it is just too little for another layout, so here is one that I’ve used left over little pieces of paper to make a Christmas card.

Again, that cute little brad is from Imaginisce, a gift from Grace Tolman. The chocolate swirl is from Pebbles chips, filled with 20 pieces of cute chipboard. The fabric flower with the center button taken off is from Basic Grey Max & Whiskers.

Yup, start making Christmas card now so you’ll have lots of time to prepare other things and it also help me to used up all those little pieces of left over.

Season’s greetings card

Yes, it is not too early to prepare for Christmas right now, and yes that include making cards for friends and family members.

I’ve started mine, have you?

That little Santa brad is from Grace Tolman, thanks Grace!

The Season’s greetings stamp is from Hero Arts that I’ve just got from Scrap-n-crop, and the paper is from Cosmo Cricket Early Bird mini deck, a gift from Scrap-n-crop. And those flowers are from Prima.

Happy card making!

Raya card

Here is another Raya card that using very basic things from my stash.
The fabric flower and PP is from Basic Grey Max & Whiskers kit.
I’ve die-cut a leave from my Slice and mist it with Maya Road Avocado Metalic. The label sticker is from October Afternoon Thrift Shop range.

Happy scrapping!

Do believe

I just realised that I’ve a page that I forgot to share after loading its pictures here.
Here is it, a page that I need to have distressing on my title, used fabric and distressing:

I’ve used crackle paint on my lettering and did two fabric flowers.

I’ve used a random photo that taken in the car on our way home. Love that dimple!
I’ve used stash from here and there, you can tell that they are not from the same paper line, especially that shape die-cut PP that I’ve been putting off for a long time.

Happy scrapping!

Hello card

I love the feel of this card with lots of distressing and it just so happened that I’ve that little strip of lace trim left and it is just nice for this card. And yes, I’m using Martha Stewart’s butterfly punch again. Just love it!

Am using Basic Grey page kit for this card. Initially wanted to do another Raya card, but well.. I need some cards for friends too, so it turned out to be a hello card instead.

Thanks for looking!

Life is good

Did this layout using a sketch over at Scrapbook Deals 4U. Information are as below taken from the forum:

Scrapbook Deals 4 U is currently hosting three sketch challenges every month. You are not required to be a kit club subscriber in order to participate. You may use any products that you wish to use!

On the 1st of the month, a sketch challenge will be posted using a sketch provided by My Sketch World and you will have from the 1st through the 10th to complete the challenge. On the 10th of the month, the second sketch challenge will be posted using a sketch provided by Creative Scrappers and you will have from the 10th through the 20th to complete that challenge. Lastly, on the 20th of the month, the third sketch challenge will be posted using a sketch provided by PageMaps and you will have from the 20th through the last day of the month to complete the challenge.

Participants will earn one entry into the monthly sketch challenge prize drawing for each sketch challenge completed. Since there are three sketch challenges each month, there are three opportunities to earn entries into the monthly sketch challenge drawing. If you complete one sketch challenge, you will earn one entry into the drawing, if you complete two of the sketch challenges you will earn two entries into the drawing, and if you complete all three sketch challenges for the month you will earn three entries into the monthly sketch challenge prize drawing.

Shortly after the end of each month, the prize winner will be selected by random drawing from among all of the sketch challenges entries uploaded to the designated gallery folder within the allotted time frame. The winner will then be announced on the message board and will be instructed to PM Martha to claim their scrappy prize 🙂

So, if you are running out of idea and don’t know where to start, why not try out the sketch challenge, surely will get you going.

Here is my take for it using Basic Grey pattern paper from SD4U kit:

I did the middle ribbon by securing it with a brad and a felt flower, aren’t they cute? And that little fish, isn’t it cute!?
I think I’m back to my “distressing-self” for the moment *wink*.
Have a good day and happy scrapping!

Start preparing for cards

Yes, to my Muslim friends, Happy Fasting Month. And to myself, I’ve started to get ready for Raya by making some cards for my colleagues.
Here is one that I did with a lift from Ashley Harris:

I love the simplicity of this card design and the lace as flower center. Using some scrap left over from SD4U kit.
Thanks for looking!
Have a great Sunday!

Punches plus CS # 115

Here is a layout that I did joining in the challenge over at Scrapbook Deals 4U and using Creative Scappers sketch #115.

This sketch came in the right time when I needed to scrap these photos of my son taken in 1Borneo. They are not allowed to go into the game centre, ‘cos we don’t want them to spend money in there plus we were in a hurry, so instead, I offer them some photo ops with the ants out there in the entrance.
For the challenge, I need to use my punches. So here, I’ve used Martha Stewart’s butterfly punch, Fiskar’s border punch and Marvy circle punch. I had fun in knowing that I’m using all my variety of punches. Yes, I only have 3 different kind of punches. I’ve 3 Fiskars’ border punch, several Marvy punch and 3 Martha Stewart punch. Not bad huh?
Here are some close-up of the layout:

Am using kit from Scrapbook deals 4U.

Happy Weekend you all!

Wanna have some fun!?

Check this out: Cramfest 2010, 2nd Annual Back to School blast over at Scrapbook Deals 4U.

I’ve been subsribing to their monthly kit ever since.. err.. ops.. many many months ago, and I’ve been greedy to keep all those kits especially the recent one and love them so much that I still haven’t really gone into using them! Together with SD4U, I’ve also subscribe to the Basic Grey month page kit and I also haven’t come into using them fully!

Gosh! I’m greedy huh? But then this is all because I’ve lost my creative juices and now I need some push to get me back on track again. I mean I need to create, I feel that I’m missing something everyday. I need my crafty quiet time for myself, I need to know that I am able to create and am contributing and inspiring others too.

So, here goes, this is one of those rare chances that I can push myself, get myself up and running again with creativity.

Check out more detail about the camp feast here.

Oh and if you do join in and let them know that  I told you this, I get some points, do the same with your friends, so you’ll earn the extra points too! But above all, have fun!

Scrap a little August sketch

Helen at Scrap a little got the design team working again for her August sketch. So without exception, I did mine using a photo of me and my boys in our car on our way home. Am glad that I can use the map side of the PP from Studio Calico kit.

Here is Helen’s sketch for August:

My interpretation of the sketch:
I’ve used up till the tag that came along the kit – the red car! Isn’t it great!? I just love it. Oh, and by the way, those cup marks are actually my bottom of my boy’s bottle! Ha! It is fun! I know.. I’ve been wanting to get the coffee stain stamp from SC, but well.. I didn’t manage, so I use the real thing!
Those doilies, they are just cute right? They are from Sweet Vintage etsy store from Australia. No regret in getting them.
Oh, Helen’s sketch is just so easy to follow and you can interpret it anyway you want, just as long as it is still recognisable. I’m so glad that this sketch came in just timely for this photo. I just wanted to record down the things that we do sometimes on our way home and the sentence on the PP suits me, so I’ve used it as journal strip.
So, what are you waiting for? Use the sketch and have fun, check out what the rest of the design team has done too.
Most importantly, have fun!
