Sketch, colors and pattern challenge

Came across a good sketch, a good color combo and pattern challenge that I took all and turn it into one layout instead of three different one.

Here is one layout that I did using Creative Scrapper Sketch #165, color combo challenge #202 and a pattern to be in the layout – wood grain.

I’m also trying to use misting, stamping and embossing in my layout, no chipboard though. ‘Cos I’m thinking of the August challenge over at Scrap-it-lah. Still, I’m happy that at least this time I’ve used my masking template from Prima that I bought recently and today is it first time being used.

I’m also loving the glittering embossing powder that I have on those pigment ink, what more I get to use my favorite stamps from Technique Tuesday Ali Edward design. Yup, have been using them for the recent layouts.

Are you joining any challenge lately. If not, why not join Scrap-it-lah August challenge, use Creative Scrapper’s sketches and the Color Combo with wood grain pattern.

Those precious moment

After the first layout in the year of 2011, I’m hoping to do more and get back to my creative self as soon as possible,, so I think so far I’m doing just fine.
I’ve been copying down sketches, challenges and started my scrapbook craft again.
Here is one that using Sketchy Thursdays sketch 1.13 and the color challenge over at Scrapbook Daisies using Seafoampeachwhite and melon. However I think I’ve added some other colors in there, like the green letter sticker and brown with red flower PP.
Anyway, here is the sketch:
And here is what I came up with:
I’m using the past kit from Scrapbook Daisies – Echo Park: life is good. I’ve actually been saving it for the right layout and here it is! There is still so much of my kits that I haven’t touch!
Going to share more of other challenges and sketches that I’ve done.
Happy Sunday!

Simple LO

Did this layout before coming here to China. A very simple layout I must say, but it was fun to put together especially with the rub-on. I think I saw this sketch somewhere and wanted to join in the challenge, but later I forgot where did I see it. So here it is. Am using stuff from Color Me Daisy kit and Scrapbook Deals 4 U kit plus my own Making Memories journal pad. This layout is talking about how similar my two boys are even when they are in picture and they didnt’ know what other’s facial expression look like. Real brothers!

Kristina’s Color Inspiration #45

This colors are monochromatic, however one of my pictures came out not quite showing the dark black in the pattern paper that I’m using, probably due to the florescence light in my office. Anyway, this is what I came up with from the color inspiration over at Kristina’s blog:

Using the idea of inchies again, which is easy to put together with scraps. I’m using Tinkering Ink’s PP, Prima grey flower, Making Memories black brads and ribbon from HOTP.

Thanks for stopping by.

Kristina color challenge #44

When I first saw Kristina’s color challenge, I thought to myself this would be easy for me to do. But then it has taken me quite sometime to really put this card together, ‘cos I’m not sure which color to use as the primary color, so I end up using most white.

Product used: Making Memories paperpad, Basic Grey Bittersweet PP, Prima flower, Bazzill Basic just edge cardstock.

Color Challenge

I’ve made this card and was hoping to get it loaded for Kwerner’s color challenge, but I was too late for it as I forgot to bring my USB cable back home. She has very good color challenge every week, going to try for it again this week.

Anyway, just wanted to share it here. I have probably didn’t use the right color combination, but it was fun.
This has become my photo for Project 365 as well, this is for Day 9.
