Bad Romance?

Yup, my boys like to sing along with Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance.. due to its catchy word in the beginning part, he even insisted to finish the song before getting out from the car when it was on in the radio!

So I did a layout about this based on the sketch from A Million Memories with a twist – to use song title or words of the song in the layout. Here I used part of the relics.
And also.. I’ve used some lollipop flowers in this layout which is for a challenge over in Scrapbook Deals 4U.
Love those paper in the Origins kit from Scrapbook Deals 4U and I’m going to get a 2nd set later from Basic Grey!! Wuhoo!!
Happy Scrapping!

Finally, Helen is reviewing a challenge in her blog. Here is a great sketch that you can use for your next layout by Helen Croft:

She is having a challenge going on at the moment, do head over to her blog and check out other designers’ layouts. Here is my version of the sketch:

All the materials are from Urban Ink kit from Scrapbook Deals 4U.
Yes, I’ve got a four-eyes guy in the house now. Me myself already gone for Lasik to treat my sight and now my son probably getting my bad gens. Yet, he is proud of it and kept on showing off to others his new specs. Yes, this boy, no longer look so small now.
Happy Scrapping!

Product used: dream street papers – Urban Ink – high voltage, Slice basic element 1, We R Memory Maker foil lace. DSP – rub-on, Maya Road stamp, Fiskar border punch.

Pencil Lines sketch 175

Did a page using Pencil Lines sketch 175, which was being introduced by Lady Grace and Iris Babao Uy, especially love their layout, so pretty. I decided to use this PP as the background after seeing it in Kristine’s site. I even happier to find that I still have the Maya Road sheer scroll frame album!

I’ve actually used the sheer album as the backing of the photo but have put the Glitz sparrow PP behind it to create a contrast for the photo.
Have cut out some flowers from the Fancy pants PP on those part that is being covered by the photo. Jumble them together with leaves and swirl that being cut out from my lovely Slice, still love it!
Another thing that I love is the Bella Blvd Honey I’m Home cutie owl, yup, pop it up with some foam adhesive.
Another thing I like is the Webster Pages little storytellers alphabet stickers and the jumbo Pink Paislee captivating chipboard stickers. uhhh.. and those cuttie felt from basic Grey woolies are just so cute!

Go, give it a try on the sketch and do submit it to their website for a chance to get their RAK.
Happy scrapping!

1st day at school

Have made a layout base upon the above sketch by PageMaps and have tried on making two Rhonna Farrer’s Rolled Fabric Flowers in my page though it is a boy page *grin*. Which later I add some buttons to make it more man-ly *LOL*.
Look at those rolled fabric flowers, they are fun to make:

Uh, and I’ve used my Slice to cut out an owl, yup! So fun! I’ve add blings on its eyes.

Head on over to Scrapbook Deals 4U and join in the challenge, you’ll have fun!

Product used: Scenic Route Metropolis PP, Glitz sparrow PP, Webster pages letter stickers, Kaiser craft blings and pearls, BoBunny buttons, American Craft letter thickers, some inks, and lace.

It has been

Such a long time that I didn’t update my blog! Yes, it has been busy over here and I’m 90% cut off from the net as I don’t have a broadband connection at home, I’m with dial-up! Now that I got a chance to use the wi-fi around town, I get to update my blog now.

I’ve been trying to join in the fun for the Roses are red crop challenge over at Scrapbook Deals 4U, well, I only got 3 things done. Let’s just share about the layouts that I did through the challenge.
Firstly is a layout using their sketch by Kristine Davidson:

It is such an easy to follow sketch and the twist is we must have hearts in the layout. So here is what I came up with:

These are my real sisters, we do have some resemblance, right?
I ran out of vowel “e”, so I’ve use the negative space and manage to spell the word sisters in full.
Have cut out some heart shapes and make them pop too:

Another layout that I did is to create a layout base on the menu that we chose earlier on without knowing what are the requirements about. I came up with this layout base on the things that I’ve chosen: – Use metal embellishment (I’ve used heart brad), Solid red PP, my choice of photo, journal strips, some sort of paint (I’ve used crackle paint), and must include heart shapes:
Isn’t this little guy a cutie? Definitely a heart-breaker in the futere *LOL*.
A close-up on the heart shape using crackle paint:

Hope you also had fun in the Roses are red crop challenge.

Product used: Urban Lily die-cutting pp, Humbly print PP, Tim Holtz crackle paint and distressing tool, Fiskars border punchers, Scenic Route Loveland PP, BoBunny flutter butter PP, BoBunny buttons, some blings and ribbons.

I’m a guest designer in …

Creative scrappers! Yes! I’m so honor and happy to see my own layout in others’ site. Kristine has been designing lots and lots of great sketches and I’ve been a stalker for her sketches ever since I discovered it months ago. Her designer team are fabulous, they can always come up with layouts that are so inspiring. Go on, head on over to Creative Scrappers and try out sketch #87 yourself. I would love to see your interpretation of the sketch.

Here is my take for sketch #87:

And a close up of those flowers, learnt to do this from Scrapbook Deals 4U‘s forum.

Me and hubby were just playing with our camera’s self-timer when I went over to visit him last year. It was totally funny, just look at his face *LOL*
Product used: My Mind’s Eye bloom and grow kit from Scrapbook Deals 4U.

As for now, I’ve done yet another sketch from her – sketch #85. I get to scrap my son’s overly exhausted photos after playing computer games. He just fall flat while the computer was still on with his game half-way done.
Love her sketches and yup, definitely going to keep on following her blog.
Happy scrapping!
Product used: Creative Imaginations PP, American Craft stickers, Stamps from Making Memories and Maya Road.

Pretty

Hmm.. I’m getting more productive with my new scrap space! *LOL* And I managed to use my stash of old stuff too. Some from Scrapbook Deals 4U kits, some Pattern Papers and supplies bought from Scrap-n-crop, using a sketch from Scrapbook Challenges. Yes, I’m drawing in ideas and inspiration from here and there.

This layout has completed with journal, but I took the photo before I wrote anything there. These are my cousins, pretty cousins *grin*. Even my sons sometimes mistaken them as their cousins *LOL*.

I did a butterfly using techniques thought in the Scrapbook Nook forum, which used mist, stamp and crackle paint. But my crackle paint is not here yet and I just can’t wait for it to finish this layout, so I’ve used glossy medium instead.

I thank you all for leaving comments on my site, really appreciate it. I hope I do give some, well, maybe a little inspiration here and there for you all.
Happy Scrapping! And Happy Weekend!

No I haven’t

Yes, I haven’t been keeping up-to-date with my “25 days till Christmas”. Been busy sweeping and cleaning the house that was full of dust, in preparation to move in soon. Yes, there was so much dust on the floor and on the wall, on those sockets, switches, toilets, goodness, seems like never ending kind of cleaning work. However I think it will worth it at the end, ‘cos it is my soon-to-be home anyway.

It is still empty and have just one sofa set there, nothing else other than the mop and plastic chairs that I’ve got. Oh, and those cleaning detergent and bleach. Definitely needed those.
I’m still going to be busy and hopefully will do some layout about the new house in January when everything has settle down.
Now, I’ve got one layout to share, one that is using Sketch 175 from Scrapbook Challenge, a song challenge over in Scrapbook deals 4U and some recipe from Scrap-it-lah!
The handmade embellishment are those cute ribbon flowers with buttons and am using the song by Will Smith – Just the two of us as the title and have quote from the song – “Just the two of us, we can make it if we try.” Which to me is it true for me and hubby. Nothing comes easy, we need to put effort into all we do, even the day to day communication.
Have a blessed day!

Creative Scrappers and SD4U challenge

Ha! I’m trying to kill two birds with one stone, and yet really, they are two totally different kind of birds, one is using a sketch and the other is to do a layout base on two conditions: using at least 2 photos and a title that is anything but horizontal. What I mean is a sketch base on Creative Scrappers sketch #81 and Nicole December Challenge over in Scrapbook Deals 4U.

If you go over to the two places, you’ll find even more inspirations from the sketch and the challenge, so go have some fun!

Here is my take:
Photos taken inside a sport shops over in China while me and hubby were doing some shopping. Since there is no winter at home, so I wouldn’t have those chances to wear on any winter hat gear, so I tried out their cute hat and another is a sport hat which also I won’t be wearing in normal day. Cute huh?

I’ve used some gel gloss on those hand cut flowers from the BoBunny Patter paper and make them shinny and harder a bit. I’m using Golden Gel Medium. I’m also using it to glue another piece of paper beneath the flower before rolling the pedals to make them 3-D. Another alternative is to use glue stick.
Those swirls are also from the same PP of the flowers, I love how the page turn out and am really glad that at least I’ve used this pink scallop cardstock that I got ages ago!
Hope you’ll have a happy week ahead!
Product used: Bo Bunny Delilah PP, Golden Gel Medium, Fiskars scallop border punch, ops, I forgot what company is the pink love pp.

Advice

Those kits from Scrapbook Deals 4U are just awesome! I’ve been using it to make pages and pages and still I have left over from previous kits. Since I’m not buying their December kit, ‘cos I’m saving for something else ;), so I am still using their November kit, and don’t be surprise to see even earlier kit showing here.

The one below is for a sketch challenge over the SD4U forum using Kristine D‘s sketch. You can read about the challenge here.

There, my take for the challenge, which I’ve tilted the sketch and just used one BoBunny Flutter Butter PP for this layout plus some left over of the same line scrap.

I don’t even need to think of what to write for my boys, the quote that came together with the kit are just nice as their advice. And I think this lollipop flowers are appearing more and more in my layout lately, plus those distressing look. I think I’ve fallen in love with them. hehe..
Oh ya.. I’ve used those newly acquired glimmer mist from Tattered Angel. Though it is not that obvious, but the mist is definitely there at the back.
Another thing that I love is the Fiskars border punch that I bought from Scrap-n-crop, just awesome, there are so many possibilities in using it. This is one of it – as border strip.
Thanks for dropping by and do leave me some comments, love to read them.
